Our 12 room guesthouse is located in the center of Paje, just a short walk away from the beautiful beach and kite lagoons. We are a home away from home for kitesurfer, divers, surfers and all ocean lovers. We have a range of different rooms available to suit many budgets and needs. Our guesthouse has 3 Apartment Style Rooms ideal for Families, Couples and Solo Travelers who like to have a lot of space and also the opportunity to cook. We also have 4 Standard Balcony Double Rooms, great for couples and Solo Travelers, all with ensuite bathroom, Air-Conditioning, a Balcony and big Kingsize Double Bed. 4 of our rooms are the Economy Rooms equipped with 2 single beds per room, ideal for friends and solo travellers. These rooms have ensuite bathrooms and fan and all face the pool. Lastly, we also have a shared dorm room for budget travelers. A pool and garden are also part of Ebb & Flow.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
A group of mates and I stayed at Ebb and Flow twice within the last month because we loved it so much! The Ebb team were friendly, accommodating and so so welcoming! We felt at home from the moment we got there, and immediately fell in love with the chilled out vibes that Ebb has. The rooms were warm and comfortable and only a short walk from the gorgeous beach! Breakfast every morning was served graciously and the chef was super accommodating to all of our dietary requirements. We were all satisfied and fuelled for our days of activities with the Ebb watersports centre, Aquaholics. Ebb is a gorgeous oasis in Paje, and I’d highly recommend staying there! I arrived to Paje from Berlin in July 2020, when it was still uncertain if it's ok to travel. However the trip with KLM was very smooth and airports in Dar and Zanzibar were well managed with masks and distancing. The place i originally booked online turned out to be closed. So then i came across Ebb&Flow nearby. The hosts Steffi and Brad are super friendly and helpful. The place was great - cozy 2 floor apartments, flowers everywhere and nice swimming pool. All justv2 minutes walk from the beach. Brad & Steffi also run a kite & surf club Aquaholics just 3 minutes away. Also a gorgeous and cozy place with best location, lockers, equipment and professional instruction. I planned to stay 1 week but it was so good that i extended it for another week. Will totally repeat it next july sonce the wind and waves were just the best!!! Due to Covid19, there were very few tourists. So social distancing just came naturally. Upon arrival back to Germany, noone really asks anything at the airport. It's recommended to do 2 weeks self quarantine or to get tested. I got tested in Berlin at the Globetrotter that took 48h.

I was in Tanzania for a work trip and added on some vacation time in Zanzibar. I reached out to Aquaholics about surf lessons and they put together a package for me including a stay at Ebb & Flow, which they own.
My stay at Ebb & Flow was excellent. I stayed in one of the private rooms with A/C that was tastefully decorated, spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and the breakfasts were delicious. The location is central - less than a 5-minute walk to the beach, restaurants and shops.
I will definitely be back!

My husband, our two kids and I stayed at Ebb & Flow for almost 4 weeks during Christmas and New Years. The apartments are clean and comfortable. A somewhat steep set of concrete stairs between the two floors, otherwise good. The kids slept in two beds downstairs, which also had a kitchen and a dining table, so there was no sofa or place to relax inside. That was not a problem as the outdoor room is great with a pool, sunbeds, sofas, hammocks and daybeds. Nassor is always there to help, together with the rest of the staff. It´s close to the beach and the village, but still in a quiet area. The breakfast at Oceans is really good, right on the beach. Pancakes, eggs and fresh fruit every day (and a lot of other options too). Our Air Conditioning did unfortunately not work well during the most busy days due to the power grid being overloaded. That meant a week with warm and sticky nights. Worth knowing if you go during peak season I guess, otherwise it is not a problem. We really enjoyed our stay at Ebb & Flow and recommend it highly if you are going to Paje. The place is clean and comfortable with a great outdoor area and the people are smiling and helpful.

Two weeks ago we were traveling around and we decided to stay 4 days in Paje to see the difference between Kendwa and Nungwi in the North west and Paje in the south East. We found out that Paje was the best place for us. A little more down to earth mentally what we like. We choose for Ebb & Flow apartments because of the perfect location. If you walk out the door to the left you have to walk 2 minutes through 3 alleys to get to the beach and if you walk out the door to the right you are in 1 minute at the small shops (also 24/7) and restaurant of the original Paje. The apartments were very nice and everything functioned as designed. When I walk in Ebb & Flow for the first time I thought I walked in Melrose place 😀 A very nice small swimmingpool with a few very good sunbirds at the side. Nice flowers. Nice bar. Nice place to sit and it was a very quiet and relaxing place to stay. They give you extra big towels wich you can use if you go to the beach. The staff was very friendly and the barman can make lovely cocktails. My favorite was the tropical mojito 👌🏼 We can recommend Ebb & Flow apartments for easy going people. Really loved the location, very close to the beach.. It was homely, the staff is exceedingly nice! The swimming pool is great. Ebb & Flow is 2 minutes walk from the beach and the Aquaholics kite & wave surf centre. It is also close to a lot of great beach restaurants! If you are looking for somewhere budget and like to enjoy Paje, id recommend this place.

Ebb and Flow has a friendly staff, and clean, comfortable rooms. Stayed here twice in the past year and it’s been a lovely time every time. Brad and Steffi have been super helpful in setting up activities for us and ensuring everyone is having an awesome time.

Stayed here for a couple days while diving in Paje, really good location. The dorms are cheap and in good condition, would recommend for budget travellers. The complementary breakfast is fine, nothing special. Would stay here again!

We stayed here for four days after an 18 day trip in Tanzania. The family appartement was spacious and clean. The staff is SUPER friendly and helpful! Excellent accommodation, good breakfast which is served semi-together. A great way to meet like-minded people. The bar has a happy hour. Nice touch: we forgot our camera in our room. The staff contacted us and made sure the camera landed with another guest. And it’s now on its way back to us ❤️. That’s what I call ‘going the extra mile’!

Really enjoyed our time here. Staff all friendly and helpful. Accommodation in the apartments was very nice and super clean. Very comfortable beds and very clean swimming pool. A real luxury to have both cooking facilities and air conditioning. Excellent location just 1 min walk to beach and all the Paje action.
