On arriving at Echo Beach we had just had a week on safari and did not think our holiday could get any better. From the moment we walked into the beach-side haven we all had massive grins on our faces - it was perfect. Fatimah could not have been more welcoming, nor could the rest of the team throughout our... More

I had a period of 4 nights here after a safari trip, so this was very welcome after a hectic few days. I loved that echo beach was not a large hotel and the rooms were split into villas or apartments as I felt it made it more peaceful and personal. The hotel was not crowded as there was not... More

This hotel really could not have been better for a relaxing stay by the beach. The rooms are tasetful and comfortable; the food quite excellent; the (English) owners friendly and helpful and the service from the staff pretty well just right. It is quite small but has everything you could want, and the hotel was very willing to arrange trips... More

Sue and Andrew (and their three dogs) have created a little oasis of calm beside a white sandy palm tree lined beach on the eastern coast of this island. Andrew is a master in the kitchen delivering excellent cuisine from a limited but varied menu. The local catch of the day was my personal favourite throughout my stay and Andrew... More

This small resort on Zanzibar Island is a lovely restful respite after a tiring dusty and hot safari. Many people had recommended we have dinner in at one of Stonetown's better restaurants, but after sampling the great food that Andrew and his staff prepare at the resort, there was no way we were going to venture into Stonetown as we... My wife and I booked this hotel, as a place to relax, after a tiring safari in Tanzania. The hotel arranged to have a driver pick us up at the airport and it was a good 90 minute drive to the hotel on the east side of the island. We arrived in the late afternoon and soon learned that because it... More

We travelled here after 2 weeks safari in southern Tanzania and were in need of a some RnR. Where to start? Andrew and Sue (although we didn't meet Sue as she was in the UK) have built a real jewel along an idyllic beach in brilliant Zanzibar. 12 sizeable individual 'bandas' with covered cool verandas provide air conditioned comfort when...
