A very relaxing experience. The staff is low key but always there to make your stay comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are rustic and very comfortable. One of the nicest part was interacting with other guests. In the evening we would all sit around talking and sharing about our selves. It's just a short walk to the...

Mustapha place is simply great! Access. You can reach it by local transports (matatu) in 2 hours from Stone town or by taxi (more expensive and less fun). It is not super easy to find from the road but you can ask help to the matatu driver and if you speak swahili to locals too. When the matatu drops you...

All of the staff there go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable, happy, and relaxed. The customer service is exceptional...for example we had an early commute to the airport and they packed some fruits for us to take on the journey since we wouldn't have time to eat breakfast. I was very sad to leave at the end...

Hard to complain about a place that is arguably 'too chill'. Thought the single room w shared bathroom was very reasonably priced for the island so jumped on it. Food is good but overpriced in my opinion. Grounds are beautiful, fantastic pool comes in handy when the tide is far out. not on the beach but such a short walk...

Be it the people that work there, or other fellow travelers, the conversations and the openness experienced were exactly what was needed. A cocktail as you're checking in, 2 mins walk to the beach (or the pool!), delicious dinner, amazing breakfast, all while you're being caressed by the warm winds, great music, the sound of water.

Absolutely amazing experience here. Felt so welcomed from the first minute and staff are friendly and attentive always willing to give advice and help you out. Can't recommend this place enough and I will defiantly be going back. Like most people I only planned a couple of nights but stayed for 8! Paradise

If you want to avoid big international hotels and want to stick to the locally run places, don't hesitate and go to Mustapha's. The over relaxing place is run by friendly and helpful people. they helped us organize a beautiful snorkelling trip. The place is comfortable, clean and the restaurant serves very good food. Recommended!

If you’ve headed south rather than north, you’ve already opted for something more laid-back. On the Island’s bottom east-side, Mustapha’s keeps that going with its rasta-chill’d but professionally run operation – headed by Sadie when I stayed, a “Motherland” homeboy who splits time between there and the UK; he made everything wonderful from the get-go. From Stone Town, a private...

It's hard to fully describe the experience we had at Mustpahas as it was simply put, magical. First off, it's absolutely beautiful set in a quaint garden with unique bungalows where you feel the taste of nature. Mustapha, the owner, is probably one of the loveliest people I have had the opportunity to meet and hang out with. Not only...
