We spent one full week at the resort. We absolutely loved the location, both the most beautiful beach in the area and the garden/bungalow grounds of the hotel. A true paradise. The staff are friendly, especially the beach master - Asante sana, Ali! So is the room manager Felippe, very helpful - grazie! The beach bar staff could, however, get a bit of extra training on customer service. The rooms are ok, a bit dark and could use an update, but cleaned daily and with aircon and working wifi (which works even at the beach, which is not often). The food was also ok. Not everything was good, but the choice at lunch and dinner time big enough (and changed daily) to find something you will like. Breakfast a bit mundane after a few days. All in all, a place we will seriously consider in the future for a comeback.…
This place is really good for the price, however it definitely isn’t the best resort to stay in, but works for a budget traveller! The pool is somewhat average but yet still very enjoyable. The rooms are basic but have lovely balconies. Would recommend as a good option for a budget concision traveller
We did stay at this place for 12 nights. First thing is that is owned by Italian company and management and most of the staff speaks Italian which is amazing and to be honest we felt great. Manager Filippo was very helpful when we wanted to change room (due to evening entertainment in lobby, we like more quite places). No problem for him at all. He is very friendly and what I really like that he is pretty much around and if someone wants to talk to him he is there available for them. This acting is absolutely perfect and this is customer service. Hotel is really nice, rooms very clean, food was very tasty, a lot of italian cuisine and local food as well. We did stay over New year and they had a nice special dinner for customers. Beach is beautiful. the ebb of the sea can be sometime a huge thing but than you can walk pretty much everywhere in the ocean. We loved this place and we will come back.…
This resort is a good choice. The rooms are well presented with mosquito nets, being cleaned daily by the staff with fresh towels provided. There is good air con in the room which made for a comfortable stay. The resort has three main dining areas- a big space for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a beach side space for lunch and a pizzeria for dinner that you have to book in advance. The food is western friendly with lots of pasta. There are also snacks available throughout the day. The pool is well kept and the hotel backs onto a beautiful beach with white sands and blue water. You will always get a sun bed. The all inclusive drinks are local spirits and beers as to be expected. The hotel is Italian swayed. We don’t speak Italian but had no issues. As a fussy eater, the pizzeria ensured I always had food I enjoyed eating. The management were friendly. We had a few minor issues that they sorted out promptly for us without any hassle. All staff at the hotel were friendly and eager to help us. My only criticism would be, I would have liked to enjoy more authentic dishes for Zanzibar as part of the all inclusive. We went on a day trip to stone town and there were so many beautiful dishes and spices that we felt we did miss out on as many of the all inclusive food and dishes provided you could eat anywhere in the world, or at home. Despite being a big resort, it did not feel crowded. There was a mix of couples, families and groups of adults. I would say it would be suitable for anyone. There is entertainment provided a few nights a week with live music which was a nice addition. We enjoyed our stay here.…
Beautiful place to stay not only over Christmas. Hotel and meals are great, people friendly, just relax and enjoy it all. So many places where to go and what to see. Beach service, cold beer, shade of palms…
Beautiful area on a lovely beach, but so are many other better places to stay along this stretch. Service is everything and due to being made to feel unwelcome by some staff, I would not recommend this place, as it will spoil your holiday.
This hotel is located on the beautiful Kiwengwa beach and is about an hour from the airport.. The rooms are spacious and clean and the food is great. The staff is nice. Excellent tours to do. Typically Zanzibari atmosphere ...
It is a nice complex, where the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is of good quality with Italian predominance but good, stylist and big variety, then you have some snacks in the beach bar like chips, burguers, hot dogs, fruit. Everyday you have one apperitive before dinner. Internet cost 10 euros one week, you can use almost everywhere depend the how many people is connect, but it´s ok if you compare with other places in the country. The hotel is safe although you have a safe box room that you must pay too, but in my case i didnt have any problem. The show are almost all in italian but if the staff knows that you dont speak the language they help you. The communication can be in different language is not any problem. The fitness room should improve, dont count to do any gym stuff, it´s not what you will expect. The beach is nice and nice sand, client and the people dont disturb you if you dont want it. The cost of the taxi from the airport is around 20$, dont pay 50 $ as the try to convince you.…
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 14 days all inclusive. We do not speak Italian and this was a problem as no information was provided for us. We were not aware of different kinds of entertainments that took place at night. To our shock we became very aware of the disco that took place two nights a week as it was impossible for us to sleep until the disco closed at one o clock. Horrible. We were in the bungalow closest to the beach nr 22 and very close to the disco. This being said, some things were good in this hotel, the boys who managed our sunbeds were very friendly and helpful. The people who worked in the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. The food was very good most days. We liked the cheese night very much. All in all, because of the lack of sleep we experienced during our stay we will not be back, sorry.…
