Firstly, there was no signpost even in near vicinity to direct me to the location. One is likely to move past it as there is no signboard facing the approach track (yes, a dirt track, there is no proper road) !! Bathroom fittings are coming apart. My room door wouldn't lock from outside, so it had to be left open...

The first impression of Blu Marlin upon arrival seemed well. The beach and the pool are very nice, however there are some major shortcomings which are not just a nuissance but also a plain hazard. 1. Location: 25 $pp is too much for a single transfer. You can take a cab at Stone town for 15$ with more people. 2....

Well what an amazing stay, we arrived 13 december 15 and stayed for 7 nights and we had the pleasure of staying in th Crocodillo room. 1st floor with pool and sea views amazing again. we were greeted with a nice mango cocktail and given a brief run down of the hotel and its facilities by our fab host and...

Stayed there with my wife just for three night after our Safari in Tanzania. Very romantic and quiet place. Beautiful beach. A simple hotel but with everything you want. And if something is missing the hotel manager will make sure you have it. Food was good, nothing fancy but hey it's not a 5 star hotel. Great value for money.

We have just completed a 4 night stay here and can highly recommend it. We are 2 parents with 2 older children and stayed in a room with a double bed and bunk bed. We had breakfast and evening meal in our price plan. Location is great with own clean pool and plenty of sun loungers by pool and on...

I stayed at Blu Marlin Village in November 2014. Let me say that this place was a pleasant surprise! Price is very affordable for Zanzibar. The setting is wonderful. The property is well-cared for and maintained. The staff was excellent and helpful! In fact, the staff were an incredible bonus who enhanced my experience through their wisdom and advice. Would...

We chose Blu Marlin because of the price and stayed there for 4 nights, together with our daughter (2,5). The accommodations at Zanzibar are quite expensive. Blu Marlin is a fair deal, but there are beter places in this range (for example in Paje area). We enjoyed our stay at Blu Marlin, but the rooms and especially the bathrooms are...

Blu Marlin had just changed management when we stayed there. After travelling from the UK for almost 24hours, the pristine and clean room was a welcome! Admittedly, the salt water shower was a surprise, but it was manageable. Our air conditioning didn't really work properly, but for us it wasn't necessary and there was a constant breeze from the sea....

Located within one of the little villages on Zanzibar this was a lovely find. Blu Marlin offers all of the comforts of a big resort such as a nice pool, private beach, and lounging beds, at a very reasonable price. The rooms are clean and comfy and all have excellent air conditioning (a real must!) Breakfast and dinner which are...

The positive: Clean, charming hotel in great location. The beach is nice and quiet, with only a few local kids running around and a kite surfing place next door. Looks like an ideal place to learn how to kite surf, with calm, shallow water and few people or boats. The swimming pool is also quite nice. We booked a snorkeling...
