This is a lovely little property in the heart of Matemwe. The beach is beautiful and walkable. The pool, grounds, and gardens are lovely. The service staff by the restaurant and pool was great. The local food was very tasty (the veggie samosas and mango salads were excellent!).

We stayed in room 2. There were some spider webs and dust in the room, but the fresh flower decorations were beautiful. There was a torrential downpour in the middle of the night and water came through the roof in several spots, including directly onto the bed as we were sleeping, and onto our open suitcases which made our clothes and bags wet our day of departure. The management was very apologetic and allowed us to do a late check out so we could let our things dry in the room all morning. They even adjusted our food/drinks bill as an apology. They really made things right.

All in all we were very happy with our short stay and would recommend this place to people traveling to Matemwe. Great and attentive management and staff. Many thanks for a nice stay!

I was looking for a quiet place with some privacy and I found it at the Zoi Boutique Hotel in Matemwe! The managing director of the hotel was extreemly friendly and he gave us an exceptional rate for the Honeymoon Suite! That Suite was 50% more expensive than the other rooms but it was absolutely worth it! We had a private sandy garden, a private mini pool and a direct access to the beach. It was paradise! The food in the restaurant was very delicous and the atmosphere always relaxed. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Nice, a very nice and loving person! I immediately took her to my heart.
If you look for a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy then book the Zoi Boutique Hotel. You won't regret!

Our stay was amazing!
We received a room with ocean and amazing sunrise
views.
At first we faced some challenges such as lightbulbs, but
after addressing it to reception they took immediate
action and replaced them.….. perfectly service oriented
In the restaurant we we're served most of the time by
Mcha who delivers a perfectly welcoming service and
was happy to share information or recipes. But in general
everybody ist super ambitious and friendly.
Food quality was way above standard and octopus, tuna,
seafoodplatter, chicken etc. we're prepared with love,
passion and spices.
During our stay we had the possibility to enjoy a 30 min
massage which was relaxing and the spa attendant made
us feel comfortable.
all in all come here for a couple of days to treat yourself

It's ok, but the room was falling apart. The service personal was not able to clean the room properly and they almost never gave us fresh towels. The toilet was leaking on the floor (disgusting). You have to wait 10 min to get hot water in the shower.

Be aware that the personal of the reception is selling you "trips" or taxi rides that cost more than double what you would pay by booking it directly with the local agencies.

The pool area is beautiful and the restaurant is pretty good. The staff there is very friendly.

This very nice resort in the North West of Zanzibar Island is a paradise at a snow white beach with palm trees and everything one can think of on a bounty beach. The rooms are great. Location is top. Actually the only flaw is the buy in. Kitchen menu is limited through a censervative buy in, causing several no's to guest's request to deviate slightly from the menu as well having to say no to menu items as they simply are not able to deliver. Lot of pretention and less performance. After four days.we were glad to move.on despite the paraduse alike surroundings

Beautiful location right on the beach. Fabulous pools. Beach is uncrowded. Beautifully designed rooms ( but not really thought out). Friendly staff.

Rooms are rustic design. Great views. Unfortunately lots of bugs in room as no netting except around bed. Big gaps in slats on doors, ceiling is kind of lots of interwoven twigs. No air con is possible as rooms not really sealed. Very hot, aircon is needed in Zanzibar! Or at least efficient fans.

Breakfast and lunch are good, lots of choice, tasty, reasonable prices.

Dinner is not good, small choice of not very good food at high prices. We ate next door as much more choice and much better value. Cocktails also small and overpriced.

Eco friendly? Have to run fans all night, bottled water, plastic straws!!!!!

Hope this place ups its game.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever been
They tried to rob us from the beggining until the check out. Be carreful of Nice, the receptionnist. She’s the worst liar I’ve never seen.
We came for our honey moon my husband and I and the 4 nights stay we booked were just horrible. First of all, we booked a transfer with the hotel from the airport to the hotel but we waited at the airport more than 1 hour because they forgot us and of course didn’t inform us. The driver NEVER apologize. They refused to give us back our money and offer to us a complimentary massage.
They charged us $20 the way back from the hotel to the nearest ATM at 15mn away and we realised there were an ATM closer at 5mn but the hotel driver just want for us to pay more !!
The room is poor and old. Not a 4 stars standing hotel. The room are so close each other that you can ear everything your neighboor did.
The wifi didn’t work wherever you stay at the reception or in your room. There were 3 electricity cut in a day.
The personnal is a liar, not polite at all, non professional and not helping.
Moreover the beach in front of the hotel is dirty with algae so you can’t swim.
There is absolutly nothing around even a supermarket.
Don’t waste your money on this hotel and go somewhere else it’s an advice
Thank you for the worst honey moon ever

We had the best stay at Zoi Boutique Hotel! Waking up with a view of the ocean, enjoying delicious food prepared by Chefu and being spoiled by the very caring staff. Nais and Mussa were very attentive and even provided us with a room to stay on our last day because our flight wasn’t until the evening. Edward helped my husband remove some sea urchin spikes from his foot. And Mcha, Faleh and Farita took good care of us in the bar/restaurant. We felt very much at home! Thank you for everything!
