I stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 nights in August 2013 and this place was superb! The food was the best I have had to date in my 30 years of life. It may take a while to come out of the kitchen but if you don't learn patience in Africa you are traveling wrong. My room was big...

We were at Seles for 2 nights after our safari. Place it's really clean, rooms are really nice with airco and hot water. Internet it's free to use and works quite good. Beach in front of the hotel it's ok...not the best but good for a walk. Annoying beach boys trying to sell you anything and following you everywhere. Food...

I stayed there in october 2012 with a friend and it was simply beautiful and amazing! Nice little bungalow. Small room with fan and clean bathroom. Beautiful environment. Very cozy and comfy common area where you could relax on the sofas. Nice bar. Good food, amazing fresh juices at breakfast. When you sit on the second floor to eat you...

We stayed here at the end of a 6-week trip backpacking around Tanzania. It was just what we wanted - a gorgeous location, friendly staff, reasonably priced for Zanzibar, good food and yummy cocktails! I really liked the upstairs bar area. We were a bit worried as there were some bloodspot stains on the sheet - which suggested there might...

I chose to stay here because at $50 per night it was so much cheaper than the nearby resorts. I was expecting something pretty basic, but the place turned out to be much nicer than I expected. The rooms were probably smaller than the rooms at the larger resorts nearby, but for 1/4 the price it was fine. There was...

When we travelled to Zanzibar we had visions of staying in a place like this. Coming from busy Kendwa this was a breath of fresh air. Simple nice rooms with ac and a fan, and a bathroom too. Food was great the coconut curry and catch and the day was delicious! Yummy fresh juices and chocolate, banana shakes. The bungalows...

We had room 3, which has a steep staircase and seperate bathroom (and soggy mattress), but was still ok, especially as the communal areas were so nice. The food was very good, especially the cheese and tomato chapatis and the fish of the day (kingfish and chungu). The bar was really good too - the local hotel owners meet here,...

We stayed at Sele's our first night in Zanzibar to save money before going to a pricier resort. However, we were really surprised at what a great place Sele's was especially considering the price. The bungalows are simple, but close to the beach and have a chill, relaxing vibe. It really just makes you feel like you are enjoying the...

Stayed here with family for 11 nights in May this year and had an amazing time. I stayed in one of the upstairs bungalows which are pretty open (no glazed windows, more window coverings) but it was lovely to wake up to the cool sea breeze and have such an elevated view - plus there was a hammock in the...

We stayed here for 5 nights after 2 weeks volunteering in Zambia and before 3 weeks volunteering at the Zanzibar Animal Affection Society (ZAASO) so we were looking for a relaxing break. We were reccomended Sele's and got in touch with Janet who runs the place who was very helpful with booking information. Sele's is about a 45 mminute drive...

“A two pax bungalow is a much better choice, take dollars with you, unless you like to be surprised by some very unpleasant (incorrect) exchange rates.”
Golyadehond, Mar 6, 2015 | Read review
“- Room number 6 was cheap, but a bit too small for comfort! - Bigger rooms are located closer to the beach and lounge/dining area and are probably worth the extra money if you have the budget to spare. - Rooms located closer to the lounge/dining area might have acces to the free offered Wifi.”
