We stayed three nights at Seles Bungalow and everything was perfect. The room is nice and as soon as you're out, you already have the feet in the sand. The lodge is wonderful, you can take your meal upstairs with a nice view on the beach or downstairs next to the bar, where you have a lot of choices of... More

We found ourselves at Sele's Bungalows after hiking Kilimanjaro and taking a Safari through the Serengeti, and this is exactly what we needed. The atmosphere was relaxing, the food was great, and the beach was just a stones throw away from our bungalow. When I think about a moment in my life when I was comletely relaxed and in full... We spent 4 nights at Seles Bungalows after being on the Tanzanian mainland. From the first correspondence I had with Janet (the owner) via email, everything was answered promptly and efficiently. I booked a transfer with her from the airport which was there when we arrived and very reasonably priced for the 1 hour journey to Seles Bungalows. The bungalows... More

We stayed there just one night, and regretted not to stay longer. The bungalows are managed by a foreigner and you can feel her touch everywhere. It's very clean, organized, the staff is available and nice. The rooms are quite big, the showers very comfortable. You can't see the ocean from the room but it is 100m away, just after... More

Most amazing beach, great atmosphere and cocktails topped by Janet's smile. Thank you for some amazing few evenings and night parties until shut down. Fresh food and good music what else does one want when in ZANZIBAR !!! Can't wait to be back.

This place is on the high end of price and doesn't take credit cards which is not convenient. There's no ATM to get money out in Matemwe so then you are forced to take one of their cars back to town to be able to pay for your bill at the end. I would have spent a lot more money... More

Visited with some friends, sadly only for one night, Sele & the staff were extremely friendly & welcoming. Sele's is small hotel in a great location overlooking Menaba island, really charming how the garden is integrated with the restaurant & bar. Stayed in a upstairs room that was newly decorated, very clean, it even came with a fridge & air... More

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but we were happy having a beer in the bar and exploring the beach while we waited. We had a very warm welcome from the manager Janet who was always checking guests were happy. Whitest sand we'd ever seen on the beach! A few touts trying to get you on the different trips... More
