Our itinerary was to spend the first part of our time on Zanzibar in Kasha and follow this with Matemwe Bungalows. Obviously we were expecting quite a step up in terms of luxury, food, location etc between the two but I was more than pleasantly surprised by Kasha in almost every aspect! My only complaint... and it’s a small one... More

This place is not paradise. First the soft points: It is lacking in energy, the staff members look miserable (they had to travel from faraway villages to work here everyday), the managers were pretty reserved, sad, and bored (looked like they were hiding something), they played the same damn CD over and over and over again during dinner every night,... The Kasha Boutique Hotel Management regrets these guests did not enjoy their stay as they should have. Fair criticism are always accepted as they help us to make sure we provide the best service at all time. Nevertheless, we would like to clarify some points mentioned above: (1) We support the community of Matemwe by employing almost half of our... More

Getting to zanzibar is not straightforward requiring two plane journeys and a bit of waiting about in african airports. However it was definitely worth it. Kasha was one of the places we stayed. If you want to get away from the tourists, step relatively lightly on the environment and the people of zanzibar this is a place you will appreciate.... More

Arriving at ZNZ was not the problem we had been lead to believe by other reviews. We showed our yellow fever vaccination certificates and were then given a form to fill in and then ushered to a window where our visas were issued for $50 each!! The immigration people did not want to talk, they just wanted our money! We... More

Kasha Boutique was the perfect spot for my wife and I to start our new life together. The spacious luxurious private villas include a private plunge pool complete with outdoor lounge areas, surrounded by beautiful gardens and looks out at the tourquois sea. The villas are beautiful and luxurious. Tasteful and elegant furniture and artwork combine with the attractive vaulted... More

The Kasha Boutique is an absolute gem of a hotel. Beautiful rooms with stunniing views and facilities that offer you luxurious privacy when you want it and spectacular swimming and dining with fellow travellers when you seek company. The staff throughout the hotel were delightful under the expert direction of Joanna and Peter; whether you are looking for a fantastic... More

KAsha hotel is to be considered one of the best I ever been! The atmosphere of honeymoon is everywhere even if you are not the happy ones) Very hospitable reception of Peter and Joahn, easy and careful. Despite the fact that almost all beaches in Zanzibar are hardly accessible cause of coral reef ant tides, we were organised marvelous boat... More

Kasha Boutique Hotel were very accommodating and the gardens and flowers were beautiful. Joanna & Peter made us feel very welcome and learnt straight away how to relax in Zanzibar in the private villa splash pool staring at the turquoise ocean, amazing. The service and food were really 5 star and the staff were at our beckoning call constantly. We... More

My partner and I have recently returned from a fantastic holiday, firstly on safari in Tanzania, and secondly we spent a week at Kasha. We absolutely loved the safari and our week at Kasha was a perfect way to chill out. We had watched with mounting interest the growing number of Kasha reviews on Tripadvisor, the majority of which were excellent.... More

We just spend 2 weeks in the Kasha Boutique hotel and had the best rest ever. If you need a break or if you are in love - preferably both - this is the perfect place! Its a small and luxury place - nothing artificial or gild. The 11 villas - all facing the turquoise Indian Ocean- are extremely large... More
