The Riu palace is an unbelievable place. We were blown away by our stunning room with amazing sea view, the amazing staff and wonderful food. We are already planning our next trip with our 2 boys and grandparents. Walking down stairs into the most beautiful ocean is such a spoil.

Hotel's Favorite
This hotel is better in reality than in the management pictures! The wonderful manicured garden, the gorgeous ocean views with stunning sunsets, the spotless rooms and the great hospitality make this place a perfect getaway for a memorable holiday. Food is very good and the buffet has many options, for all kind of tastes. The à la carte restaurants are nice and it was easy to make reservations. I have just a little remark about the Steak restaurant. It is better to reserve on the terrace, not inside the restaurant. The swimming pools have great views over the ocean. The beach is wonderful and everybody can have a sunbed, the beachboys are very careful. The tide is not so high on this part of the island, so you can lie in the sun all day. The only bad thing is that the wifi is not so good on the beach. The rooms are great . We had an oceanfront superior suite, with a generous terrace and a splendid view . It was a great choice and I recommend this type of suite, it is very comfortable and close to all the facilities: spa, swimming pool, beach , restaurants, bar. Near the hotel there is a big construction , but there wasn' t any noise to bother us. I appreciate the management care for the feedback. They give feed back forms to be completed and they even come to disscus with the clients about what improvements can be done. The personnel is well trained and helpful. Our holiday at Riu Palace Zanzibar was one the best vacation we had.

I just wish this Property was managed by someone else. I would never give low ratings to anyone unless they deserve it and RIU Zanzibar was definitely 0/5 for me. Reasons: 1. Bad Service- Post checkin all 4 rooms had to wait for more than 1 hour for their luggage to be delivered. 2. Hospitality- I understand that all inclusive restaurants cannot serve the best of the food / drinks however they can serve whatever they have with a smile and with speed. We didn’t experience both unfortunately during our 2 days here. 3. Outdated Equipments in the room like the AirCon and smelly rooms. The only good part is the scenic view and the white sand beaches.

It was an amazing vacation in Riu Palace Zanzibar. Starting with the reception and check in process it was extremly smooth, the front desk staff are super friendly, although we had alot of requests they did there best to achieve it for us. Mrs. Anna was the receptionist who checked me in was always smiling and willing to help, very professional and did her best to get us an early check in as we were having kids and long flights and need rest. The Hotel Manager Mr. Zaid Hamadi, was always approchable, never got late to respond to any issue and quickly fixing. Can’t thank him enough for all his efforts to make our stay smooth. We were surprised also that they offered a free upgrade for our room at the check in. It was very nice gesture from them. We had a ocean suite. Spaceous, kids friendly, clean, and very nice room. All the staff in the restaurant and the bars were helpful. The Gulf car driver Mr. Abubaker was always smiling and helping with carrying our staff. My only comment was on the buffet, although there is a variety of food with acceptable quality but the quality can be better pf course. Overall, I can’t ask for better Hotel for my vacation.

I don’t k know where to start from, we contacted the hotel personally for a group of 16, 4 families, 2 adults and 2 children each We booked the suite with ocean view, from first minute the staff showed how professional they are, answering all our inquires and accommodating our requests when possible We booked our own transport from airport to Hotel, it was recommended by the hotel and they were very good , punctual and no issues at all (sun tours) Check in was very smooth, they expected us, we checked in before 3 pm despite hotel was fully booked. We got a free upgrade to superior suite ocean view, it was a nice start of the vacation Room was spotless clean, spacious, lots of decorations, mini bar stacked, nice lightening , amazing view Having all inclusive option, doesn’t make you think of food options, your covered 24/7 with diff varieties. They got 3 extra restaurants you need to book through their mobile app, very lovely if you get a chance to reserve them All staff are smiling, assisting you, asking your name and remembering you each day in the restaurant , housekeeping responds fast and cleans room when asked to Everywhere is green and blue. A nice relaxing scenery your eyes get used to, they got 3 pools and one is good for toddlers, one with infinity ocean view, multiple access to ocean with guarded entrance, sand and ocean water was amazing I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Zanzibar, you won’t find a better place I want to dedicate a special thanks to mrs.Anna from the reception, Mr Kasun and Mrs Martha from front desk answering all our emails prebooking And of course Mr Ziad Hamadi, hotel manager, who was kind enough to greet us, assist us in the reservation and other requests You really feel as if your with family and friends It was a wonderful experience, kids loved and adults enjoyed it
