We travelled to Zanzibar from Cape Town for the second leg of our honeymoon and after an action packed 10 days in CT we were ready for a relaxing chilled time in Nungwi! We were not disappointed! We travelled over night and were feeling quite tired and gross by the time we arrived at 11am. Check in wasn’t till 2pm but that was no issue! They went ahead and got us checked in got our wrist bands so we could go have food and drinks while we were waiting and they also have curtesy facilities near reception where you can shower and freshen up! Once we got in to the room we were blown away, gorgeous room beautifully made up and stunning views of the ocean! Are room was pretty much in the middle of the resort so close to everything! As we prepared for dinner we were surprised to receive a complementary bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon! We dined in both the speciality restaurants, The Steakhouse is particularly brilliant and we also had the private beach dinner we where were looked after by Robert and Emmanuel who were fantastic. Breakfast/Lunch and Dinner at the Buffet style restaurant had ample choice, however I did feel the dinner options were a bit samey by the end of the 10 days however service was fantastic! Pools were all gorgeous and well maintained with excellent poolside drinks service! They also hosted daily activities, my husband participated in volleyball and water polo everyday and had a great time! We visited the Spa for The Touch of Zanzibar couples massage which was incredible snd I also returned myself did a facial which was excellent! Both great quality and extremely relaxing There was entertainment every night at the main bar and although some nights where better then others it was always enjoyable! Chiku who looked after us every evening was fantastic ( I swear she was on a mission to get us drunk every night) but we never waited long for a drink and always had service with a smile. The beach was gorgeous and clean, the beach boys can be a little annoying but overall the beach is lovely! There’s a nearby water sport centre, highly recommend doing a snorkelling trip to Mnemba Island. There are also loads of day trips which can be organised through the hotel! We had the most wonderful honeymoon and can not thank all the staff and management at Rui Palace for making it memorable and special Hakuna Matata

Having just had 2 weeks holiday at the Riu Palace Zanzibar I would like to thank everry member of staff from the Manager down right to the staff we we didn't meet for making our stay at the hotel a most rememerable one. From the time we arrived to the time we left the experience was over welming . The staff couldn't do enough for you. We arrived quite early at the hotel and had to wait for our room due to being cleaned and the reception staff kept us informed of what happening and suppliedd us with drinks. The food was exceptional good in all resturants. the bar sevice was exceptional making sure you had enough to drink. Cleaning of rooms and the other parts of the Hotel was exceptional. The gardens were the best kept of any RIU hotel I have stayed in. All the local staff enjoyed trying to get you to speak in the native tongue and when you got it wrong they would laugh not making fun but encouraging to get it right. With the out break of the corona virus THE HOTEL AND COMPANY HANDLED THE SITUATION IN THE MOST CORRECT WAY POSSIBLE. STILL MAKING THE STAY MOST ENJOYABLE AS THOUGH THERE WAS NOTHING GOING ON. Lastly I would like to thank the music man who played in the resturant every evening he made dinner each night very good BILL AND JENNY ROOM 101

I love this place :) This hotel is so fantastic, the service is the * Top Notch * restaurants Super find, there are 2 restaurants to order, steakhouse and crystal, so cozy. Then there is a part with a buffet, where you can choose to sit outside or inside but also in an Air Condition part, so lovely food and go drink. Must give All Inclusive 5/5, you can even take the drink mini bar in the room which they then fill completely free, and you can stand and order from the poolside, many super good drinks. Go here, it's a long trip but it's worth it, what beach they have, the hotel is 5 star with all right, I love this place :)

Absolute trash in every way. I’ve never had worse service, rooms or policies at a 4+ star hotel. I urge you to go to a better island, or skip Tanzania altogether. But if you must go to Zanzibar, go elsewhere
