I found Yoga Zanzibar online and wanted to book immediately so they recommended a few locations for accommodation and I chose Casa Umoja and I'm delighted that I did! This private walled compound is a little slice of paradise. It has a very relaxed and homely feel which is what I really enjoyed the most. It felt like me and...

The room was spacious but set up at Casa Umoja is most everything is dark and there's not enough air or light that comes in the rooms to air it out. I looked at 4 other rooms. My room smelled of mold and I had to take allergy meds the 3 days I stayed there. I tried to find someone...

This is a small quiet place, good to relax in but it has alot of flaws. One thing they fail to mention is that you cant pay by card so you have to have alot of money on you but the nearest atm is an hour drive away. The owners seemed really nice though but they left the day we...

I stayed at Casa Umoja for 10 days. Even if this guest house is not on the beach, it's very close, only 30sec of walking. I really enjoyed my stay, the staff is really nice and helpful, plus the owner's wife is lovely. The building is really nice and the breakfast is very good with fresh fruits and bread. My...

I was on a private holiday. Narrowed on Casa Umoja after reading quite a few reviews in Tripadvisor and Bookings.com. I must say it was well worth the money i paid. God a big spacious room with good linen. The assistants Haji and Saif were very friendly and helpful. The property is less than 500 meters from the Nugwi Beach....

We stayed at Casa Umoja as part of a yoga retreat package. Our room was huge and clean. It was basis but that didn't matter. We did have an ant problem but they gave us some spray which solved the problem immediately. Breakfast was the freshest fruit I've ever tasted. The location is brilliant… 30 seconds walk to the beach!

I’ve been there for four days to practice yoga . The place it’s absolutely wonderful, you don’t have sea view but you’re just few meters close the beach. I had a big room with lovely decor, big matrimonial bed, chairs, closet made in traditional wood and nice shower. The different buildings and bungalows are in the middle of a garden...

This place was absolutely wonderful for our family. It is only a few steps off of the beach but is close enough that you don't feel like you are missing any of the Nungwi action. Being set back however does give an extremely sense of tranquility. When you walk through the Casa Umoja entrance you are brought into a little...

I really enjoyed staying at this idyllic little slice of heaven. A block from the beach, it was a very nice & quiet place to lay low and recharge my batteries. The staff is tremendously friendly and helpful. The room was nice. And Nungwi is a fantastic little Eden.

The owners are nice by email but they are not there most of the time I suppose. The staff doesnt speak English. The place looks like crap. Dirty and dilapidated. I was meant to stay there for yoga, but I didnt like it at all. Also the area is sketchy. Maybe the price solo is worth it, but as a very...
