After 1 night in Maars hotel (the worse in the earth), we decided to move to Doubletree center for 1 night and, finally, we move to North to this hotel (30$ by taxi, same to return to airport). We spent 6 nights there. Pros: - Place and quiet hotel, - great buffet and barbecues, - clean service is perfect including laundry (great extra price - 2$ for a polo) Cons: - activities are expensive but easy to find some out of the hotel, Thus, it s great place to stay and relaxing...

Hotel's Favorite
The reception people were very friendly and help full and the hotel in general was really good. The grounds were immaculate cleaned and groomed every day. Pool was very clean and the pool bar and staff was fantastic. Every one was so nice and friendly and always smiled. They would do almost anything for you. The sand at the beach front where the umbrellas were raked and cleaned every morning. There was always chairs available by the pool or the beach. The guys at the beach bar and pool bar gave excellent service all day long with drinks. Also the cleaning staff was friendly and did a great job cleaning the room. The same with all staff in the restaurant, they always greeted you with a smile and asked if there was anything they could assist you with. The room we had seamed to be pretty new with furniture and bed.

We stayed on an all-inclusive package for 3 nights. Breakfast was 7-11, lunch from 1PM (afternoon pool menu also available from 1PM) and dinner from 7PM. + Gorgeous resort location + Extremely welcoming staff, always ensuring we had everything we needed, and everyone always greeted us with a big smile and "jambo, how are you" + We were here during low season which meant the place was less crowded, staff remembered us by name and we got excellent service + Dont forget a copy of your marriage certificate if you are honeymooners! We were treated to a private table for 2 on the beach as a honeymoon celebratory treat (as well as 50% off spa treatments and a bottle of wine we unfortunately didnt have a chance to use) + Food was ok for a buffet. Wide variety of food and drinks: bread, pizza and pasta options every day, lots of fresh fruit, salads, variety of local cuisine, seafood, meats, themed dinners etc. + Bartenders in the pool bar especially were great! Friendly, smiley, chatty, and flexible in cocktail requests. Highly recommend trying the local drink Dawa and the virgin version of Dawa with Stoney Tangawisi! + Guards patrolling the beach which meant we were not hassled much by beach boys, and as long as the tide was not super high it felt like a private beach + Wifi in all areas including rooms were free (read in some reviews they charged for this, but it is not the case) + Hotel arranged lots of activities: games, beach volleyball, parties, beach band, village tour, pool workout etc. + We stayed in low season (mid March + Corona virus) so the place was not crowded, however I can imagine sun beds by the beach to run out early when more people are staying in the hotel (in our case by afternoon all sun beds had been taken, but plenty left by the pool) + Large, clean rooms with plenty of space (except only few hangers) to unpack and tuck away everything - No information booklet, very hard to understand what was included in the all inclusive, the menus at the various bars differed in what was listed as included. Also some drinks were listed under not included but were included we found out, and it was mentioned ice cream not included, but they served it at lunch times and then it was included, still not sure if it is ..) - Small gym: one treadmill, one crosstrainer, one bike, one bench, dumbbells 2-20kg and some balls - It was impossible to get the mosquito nets over the bed to cover everything - I ate lots of raw fruit, salad and seafood and got nasty food poisoning one evening (should have been more careful with my food choices..) Speaking to others, there were more cases with same symptoms as me. Luckily it was only a few (but horrible) hours. However, kudos to staff who kept checking on me, offering help to arrange a doctor to visit, buy medicine etc. But be cautious when picking what food to eat from the buffet..

This hotel was not what I expected when I booked a fully inclusive package for my 40th birthday. Upon check in there was confusion as to being half board or fully inclusive, it was sorted (or so I thought) and we received our fully inclusive bracelets. Day 1 I ordered a cocktail on inclusive (this takes 20 min on average), next day it is not included anymore! Menu also very confusing in this regard. Dinner options was average and we had to order our own drinks at the counter as there were not enough waiters. Day 2, came back from a full day trip and wanted to get a drink at the pool bar at 7.10pm (closes at 7pm, pool as well), staff still there, only wanted a single spirit with ice, no mix, sorry bar closed! went to reception to enquire AGAIN about the empty mini bar. Again the half board confusion BUT assured it is now sorted and even promised a cake for my bday the next day for the inconvenience, needless to say I'm still waiting for the so called cake and extra bar fill. Day before checkout, AGAIN questioned by staff about not being fully inclusive - Eventually sorted! I found the staff unaccommodating and service at dinner nearly non-existent, was served by a waiter 1 out of the 4 nights. also never got to get a beach chair in 4 days. Luckily my trip was split and I moved to another hotel which was amazing with service, food and drinks.
