Excellent - Thank To Every Member of Staff @ Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort from The Cleaners, Guards, Gardeners, Waiter, Chefs, Reception-to the Guys in the offices. My 9th visit to Zanzibar You are the leaders👨🏾🍳 Resort Stunning, food is 5 star. Great location all the beautiful smiling Faces You all made my Holiday the best I ever had Thank You 🎈
This is a very nice and comfortably hotel. My wife and I spent 10 days there. Superb location, nice surroundings and good food. They also have a very helpfull and supporting staff, and I will take the opportunity to give the Guest Team with Kaiza, Simon and their supervisor Jumi a big thanks. Also a BIG thanks to Anna at the Beach Bar for her outstanding good service and smiling apperarance. 10 wonderful days and we look forward to our next stay at the Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort.
This was my first holiday in 8 years and our first holiday as a couple, we got there 7 hours before check-in time but we were looked after and given our all inclusive wrist bands straight away so we could eat and drink. Once we had eaten breakfast our room was ready and the guys took our cases to our room. The room was big, bright with 2 x balconies overlooking the pools and sea, rooms were tended to twice a day from cleaners and to prepare the bed for sleep - including mosquito spray and nets. Food was fantastic - something for everyone at all 3 meal times. Drinks also good, local drinks or named brands for a charge.Facilities gave us everything we needed and all the staff were more than helpful from the lad at breakfast opening doors and giving hand sanitiser, but with the biggest smile ever - to the Masai security guard who removed urchin spines from my foot after snorkelling (I was warned). If trips and excursions are your thing - go see Ali Baba on the beach - they all know him - he'll get what you want.…
Royal Zanzibar Beach resort was nothing short of Magnificent. Breathtaking views from every angle. Marvellously Charming customer service from every single member of staff. The food was exquisite, with so much variety. There was something for everyone. The evening entertainment within the grounds of the resort was spectacular and engaging. Our children (and ourselves alike) absolutely loved the permances. From the enchanting outdoor poolside cinema under the sky starlights to the stellar acrobatic and dance performances. We were even fortunate enough to see a performance by some of the Maasai men illustrating their traditional chant and jump. We stayed for 10 nights over the Easter holiday with my husband and 3 children. We felt safe during our entire stay. The Maasai men were a nice touch as security. They're traditional attire offers a small insight to their culture and a friendly presence. The guest vs staff beach volleyball match was also great, especially since we won lol. Considering this Resort attracts people from all over the world, different cultures and languages. All the staff seemed able to connect with people and make you feel welcome like they were genuinely happy for you to be there. I commend them for this. As a business owner within a service based industry this is an invaluable skill to have. The team at the Royal Zanzibar Beach Hotel were particularly accommodating to my needs as I use a walking aid and struggle to walk long distance. They had a wheel chair on hand which was helpful getting around from the beach front to the main restaurant and weaving across the 5 swimming pools. We had initially booked for 2 rooms being a family of 5. We had requested low level rooms close to amenities. They kindly offered us a fabulous beach front Ocean Suite so we could all be together with two extra beds for our children. For a slice of paradise on an exotic tropical island in Africa, the Royal Zanzibar Beach Hotel is definitely the place to be. Highly recommended. Check out their Instagram feed for arial drone views of the entire resort as the images from most of the online hotel booking websites don't do it justice. It's worth every penny. Thank you for making my family and I feel so welcome and creating life long memories we will never forget. Hakuna Mata, Asante Sana Antonia Shittu Instagram @antonia247official…
1 hour 45 minutes transfer from the airport to Nungwi ,35$, through very green vegetation and the reality that Zanzibar is a developing country and far away from the social media images you have in mind. Royal Zanzibar was a great choice. Beautiful immaculate gardens, a picture perfect beach view and fantastic pool designs. We, 4 Adults 4 Children , occupied family rooms, two superior rooms with connecting doors. Huge room size, you dont get this size for a 5 star in London or Paris. Please dont compare 5 star in Zanzibar with Europe or Asia , i think this hotel in its way deserves it. The hotel staff are all very very friendly, the Duty manager was very active. Huge bathroom, with open shower and again huge bathtub. Comfortable beds with a mosquito net ( very few mosquitos ) but maybe because it was rainny season in April . We had lots of rain , very loud thunderstorms , so keep in mind April is wet but still warm. We had to change rooms because of a leaking ceiling in our room. Housekeeping did a good job, very clean( some items like the toilet brush needs to be changed ) . I found the public toilets at the lobby, pool and cliff restaurant to be very clean too. There are 4 pools, the best is the infinity pool, with the most beautiful sunset i have ever seen. There are enough sun beds and lounges ( the beach lounge is free! Not like in Cancun or Ibiza ) . It would be nice if they put a kids playground at one of the pools like a slide because there is space anyway, some pool towels need a change . The beach has white soft sand but with lots of garbage. Its a shame, plastic bottles, fishing nets and dead fish. The hotel management must do something about this , or assign the Maasai security who stand the whole day doing nothing . When it comes to food, thats the only complain i have, the cuisine is very indian oriented. I like indian food but not everyday. As a result, we suffered from stomach issues , and Buffett should not be self-service during Covid times. Not hygienic. The cliff restaurant has a bistro menu for lunch, the view is very nice . All inclusive cocktails are of low quality with local spirits and cheap wine. The extra wine card was not better , an improvement would do here. Entertainment was typical for such resorts, but a live band during dinner is noise , better after dinner. The movie night under stars is magical . Another annoying thing is the beach sellers, they are very aggressive and make it almost impossible to take a quiet beach walk. I understand they are working to make a living but the approach should be polite. We booked our trip to Mnemba island with aka James Bond Nungwi, highly recommendable , IG page available. The trips to watch the Dolphins leave a bad feeling for me, too many boats , racing after the Dolphins. I wouldnt support this kind of tourism again . Please note the hotel has no ATM machine, if you need cash you must take a cab 40$ to the next petrol station.( there is nothing outside the hotel, no shops, restaurants etc) The hotel charges then 5% when you pay with credit card at check out To sum up, i can recommend Royal Zanzibar for a family vacation, honeymoon . ( we had the couples treat at the spa ! ) great , a plus would be a steam bath and sauna at the spa. …
We’ve just finished a fabulous 2 week stay at the Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort. We visited as a family, it was the first visit to Africa for the children and my mum. My husband and I have visited Africa a number of times, but this was our first visit to Zanzibar. We were welcomed immediately upon arrival, greeted with chilled towels and juice, which were very welcome to counter the heat. Our rooms were spacious, well furnished and more importantly, immaculately clean. They were equipped with air conditioning, a mini fridge, hairdryer, toiletries, a gorgeous bathroom with walk in shower and double-ended bath - plus plenty of hot water. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough to help, asking was there anything they could do to make our stay better. They made a point to learn our names and favourite drinks 😂 The food was plentiful and delicious. There was a choice of restaurants - our lunchtime favourite was overlooking the sea. The location on the beach was perfect. We can’t praise or recommend the Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort enough and would love to visit again in the future.…
Immediately at arrival at the hotel, our great experience started. We were welcomed by friendly reception; and the experience continues throughout all staff. The rooms were spacious, and allowed a nice vier over the pools and the sea. The variety of pools is great, the chilled whirlpool, the infinity pool are just two of the 4 main pools in the resort. The beach is nice with powder-like sand and - quite important- the beach existed at low and high - tide. We enjoyed playing volleyball at the hotel beach and the chilled drinks at either of the many bars. Overall, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the resort, the wonderful tasty food are all factors for a 5 star rating.
I went for drink 🍺 and it was best ,the swimming pool is amazing ,just the welcoming from the entrance at the reception it’s just wow 😯,this is a place to come with the one you love .Made me to explore more with the rooms like all the rooms are having this special view like spectacular view of the sea. Recommend for Hooney moon and wedding😍.
The service at the resort was excellent. The food was delicious all the time and located on the perfect beach. The resort has different big pool and you don't feel over crowded when you are in public spaces. The rooms are big enough with balconies. Perfect resort for a holiday.
We stayed here for 10 days. The resort is quite old and definitely not a 5 stars. The beach is lovely. Our rooms cleanliness is not consistent and amenities also. Some part of public area are quite dirty. We asked the service staff for drinks which it took long time to arrive. Bar is the same as the resort is all inclusive but they did ask us to pay for some drinks that we ordered. My husband paid premium package. The management do need to train the staff, they don’t know our name as it is impossible for long stay guests like us. We won’t return.
