The stay, the food, the facilities and people was excellent. The service was some of the best ever experienced. The Tree house is highly recommended. We will definitely return to Bushwa more than once per year for a holiday or just a quick breakaway.

Bushwa is a comfortable distance from Johannesburg for a weekend or mid week getaway. They are running specials as a promotion. We visited for two nights in mid winter. The farm is 1000ha and the game drive is average by comparison to bigger game farms but has plenty of Buffalo, Sable, Wildebees, Jackal, Eland, Impala and Waterbuck. The last stretch... More

It was a great experience! The staff went beyond what is expected to make our stay special. The food was delicious. The views from the luxury safari tents are spectacular. This is a cosy bush getaway which should be on everyones todo list. Thanks to everyone at Bushwa. We will visit again.

The Luxury tents at bushwa game lodge were exactly what we needed for a break from the city life. The two day weekend getaway was made even more unbelievable by the unreal staff: Tammy, Mathew, Ruan, Marnis and team. The fact that we bought the trip through a special deal made no difference to the way we were treated by... More

We stayed at Bushwa game lodge in June 2016 with friends. Superb for a weekend away (being only 3 hours from JHB). Superb 5 star treatment from the incredible staff- no request was too small or too big to make sure we were comfortable. the Safari Lodge tents are beautiful - close enough to the lodge but still isolated to... We loved our stay at Bushwa lodge! Tammy and Matthew really go out of their way to accommodate their guests and to make sure they are well taken care of! We stayed at the treehouse and that was quite adventurous. It has an outdoor shower and bathroom about 100 feet away. It's the only treehouse in the reserve so it's... More

We stayed in the luxury tents which were just phenomenal. The view is so amazing from your own private deck. Definitely luxury - My only gripe is that there is no aircon which makes it difficult to sleep, nor are there any heater blankets for those cold nights. The food was very good - tasty and well executed. Especially the... More

The place is not far from Johannesburg and it is easy to get there on a Friday afternoon. The lodge is beautifully set on a hill looking over the park. We stayed in the luxury safari style tents which were great. The staff are friendly and the food was good. The highlight of the weekend was the game drives. The guides... More

This is a place not to miss! We went for our 12th Anniversary, the service was fantastic, the rooms were wonderful and it felt like you were alone in the bush! The views and sunsets were breathtaking. On the last night the eveing was perfect and they set up a table for a romantic dinner for my husband and myself... More

My wife and I stayed in the Tree House overlooking our own little private water hole, and what an experience it was! Even though we didn't have a lot of large animal visitors at the water hole during our stay, we watched squirrels run around and through our room, birds singing early morning right next to you in the trees,...
