We were welcomed to join for lunch once we arrived. Then set off for a safaria through Solio, arranged by Sandai. It was not to be missed. In the evening we had a drink with the other guests- cosy by the fire. And then dinner all together. Good food. We had to set of early in the morning- would have...

We stayed in the self-catering cottages at Sandai for four days in May 2016. The owner, Petra, really makes this place stand out in our trip. She was very welcoming and enthusiastic; it was clear that she put an amazing amount of effort into building this lovely property and making guests feel welcome. We had a great communal dinner with...

I stayed at Sandai for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Petra, the owner, makes you feel like part of the Sandai family upon arrival. There are several options for staying there as I had friends at one of the self-catering houses on the property. There is comfortable seating everywhere and her three sweet and very well-behaved dogs made me...

We were spoilt for a week at Sandai Farm during Christmas time. This is more than just an accommodation. Petra, the owner, makes you feel part of a large family, the the family also includes the staff. There are many environmental solutions from saving water to solar hot water, solar electricity and several types of solar cookers. Congratulations for that!...

Sandai Farm offers a broad choice of rooms and self contained units. It's off the beaten track and surrounded by a very scenic and romantic environment. It's located perfectly to visit Solio reserve and the Aberdares without having to stay inside the parks (for far more money) We enjoyed the company of the animals especially the very friendly dogs very...

No matter which overnight arrangement you book at Sandai, be it camping, self catering cottages or full board, it is always great to stay at this place. One of the best places around Mt. Kenya. Don't miss that while in Kenya

We stayed 2 nights at the Sandai Farm and it was absolutely brilliant. Some did horse riding through the wild with view on Mount Kenya, even my grandmother did a nature walk which we all enjoyed. Petra and her daughter were so warm and welcoming, you feel immediately like home. The food was excellent and the picnic we enjoyed during...

Petra treated us like family from the moment we arrived. My husband and I and 3 kids (ages 8,11, 14) loved our stay in the beautiful, Eco-friendly Chui cottage. Her guests were from all over the world and we ate amazing meals together and played games by the fire afterwards. She arranged personal tours of Aberderes and Solio ranch with...

Following a recommendation we stayed for 2 nights in one of the self-catering cottages with views of Mount Kenya in the front and the Aberdares behind. The circular banda was beautifully constructed and furnished inside, with a nice veranda to watch the comings and goings on the farm. Petra was a lovely host and we wished we could have stayed...
