The motel was great had parking off road which was a bonus, walking distance to everything and shop really nearby. Great value for money. Only down side would be to consider if you're a light sleeper that the wooden clad room is very creaky and cracks throughout the night, which will wake you up! I guess on a calm no...

Aspiring Lodge Motel was a good place to stay in Wanaka. The room was spacious, wood-paneled and had a microwave, refrigerator and small kitchenette. There was a nice balcony. The bathroom had a shower. We liked this hotel, but I would give it a 3.5 because it felt a little tired and the bed was not great. But location is...

The motel was easy to find and in a great location. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were good. There were only three issues - the car parking is very tight, the lighting in the rooms was not great (no main light) and two of the bulbs in the side lighting were broken. The staff were nice (both reception...

It was a pleasant stay for my family and me at wanaka. The Location is perfect because it is very close to the lake and there is a new world supermarket just beside of the motel. The staff was good as well.

A well equipped motel just around the corner from the centre. Within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, supermarket and the lakeside. Very comfy, everything you need in the kitchen area. Good layout as you walk in with storage and hooks for ski equipment if you are lucky enough to be using this as a ski base.

We had a downstairs unit at the back of the motel so it was very quiet, Close to shops, restaurants and a short walk to the foreshore of lake. Supermarket is literally at the rear of the motel through a car park. A staff member drove us to the Puzzling world after we had enquired about public transport and stored...

We booked in for just one night, thank goodness. It is in the center of Wanaka, so great for walking to shops and restaurants. It is very close to 2 backpacker places and a supermarket so there was a lot of noise into the night. The rooms are clad inside with pine boarding, which creeks and cracks very loudly ALL...

Called in and offered two rooms ,both seemed adequate and we chose no 14. Very noisy ,not only street noise which was expected ,but room creaks and bangs with temperature alterations, yes all night long, crockery mismatched and shortage of cooking utensils etc. Reasonably clean and tidy but showing signs of age, certainly the worst of the last weeks rooms and the...

Wanaka is a small town near the lake, with a ski station. But, even in the summer, is a wonderful place to visit, with many trails for hiking and trekking, beautiful views and a lot of options of restaurants, motels and apartments to stay. The Aspiring Lodge has a great location, near the lake and the downtown area. There is a...
