A well equipped motel just around the corner from the centre. Within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, supermarket and the lakeside. Very comfy, everything you need in the kitchen area. Good layout as you walk in with storage and hooks for ski equipment if you are lucky enough to be using this as a ski base.

We had a downstairs unit at the back of the motel so it was very quiet, Close to shops, restaurants and a short walk to the foreshore of lake. Supermarket is literally at the rear of the motel through a car park. A staff member drove us to the Puzzling world after we had enquired about public transport and stored...

We booked in for just one night, thank goodness. It is in the center of Wanaka, so great for walking to shops and restaurants. It is very close to 2 backpacker places and a supermarket so there was a lot of noise into the night. The rooms are clad inside with pine boarding, which creeks and cracks very loudly ALL...

Called in and offered two rooms ,both seemed adequate and we chose no 14. Very noisy ,not only street noise which was expected ,but room creaks and bangs with temperature alterations, yes all night long, crockery mismatched and shortage of cooking utensils etc. Reasonably clean and tidy but showing signs of age, certainly the worst of the last weeks rooms and the...

Wanaka is a small town near the lake, with a ski station. But, even in the summer, is a wonderful place to visit, with many trails for hiking and trekking, beautiful views and a lot of options of restaurants, motels and apartments to stay. The Aspiring Lodge has a great location, near the lake and the downtown area. There is a...

This lodge motel was central to all shops and walking distance was great to restaurants. The room was clean ,tidy, and a good size room and bathroom. There's plenty to do in Wanaka, biking and the Maze place just out of Wanaka is a must.

Great location & price, good sized room. Very clean and had everything we need. Only complaint would be that the building is very loud which made it hard to sleep during the night (timber creaks due to temperature changing) but I'm a light sleeper.

The room itself was clean and spacious with a private outdoor space. The bed was the worst we slept in during our 4 week trip in New Zealand and Australia and the room itself is very dated. The place could do with a facelift to rejuvenate it......saying that it is located right in the centre of Wanaka and the staff...

The location is excellent. The room was clean and the staff were helpful upon arrival. However, despite booking well in advance we did not get the type of room we expected and the put-up camp bed stretching into the middle of the room made for a cramped experience. (The room would be great for a couple - not our family...

We stayed in a large room which had a kitchenette with a sink which is good for washing dishes in as opposed to bathroom.Everything was very clean and comfortable - for the price we payed it was very reasonable. Best part of this motel is the location - so close to ski rental shops, the main supermarket and the restaurant...
