Scott, our host, looked after us like royalty. He made us feel right at home and gave great advice with local restaurants and things to do. Very comfortable room and facilities, situated only a short walk from the heart of the town. We'll definitely book this place again when we return!

This is a lovely welcoming place. The owners cannot do too much and were very helpful sorting out the cinema and so on. The breakfast is delicious and everything is home made and charming. It's an easy walk to town and has lovely views.

I had a great stay at Black Peak whilst touring the South Island. I wanted to stay in a relaxed spot a short walk from town. The house was spotless, well appointed with a superb fireplace to relax after a day of exhausting outdoor activities... not to mention the hot spa with a view looking down the lake. My hosts...

I escaped from the hustle and traffic of the DC area to the farthest place I dared travel for a reprieve... and I found it in Wanaka. The hosts were friendly and I enjoyed the time I spent with them. We even went out on Lake Wanaka for a little fishing, photography time and a small picnic on a private...

What a fabulous place. Hosts were superb with never ending hospitality and their knowledge of the local places and environment was great. Great local wine and food. Beds and rooms were very comfy and worth every single penny. Would stay again in a heart beat. Just out of the town but an easy walk.

I looked at so many places in Wanaka trying to find accommodation and finally gave up and settled on Black Peak LODGE. Imagine our surprise when it was someone's house in a neighborhood. My fault for not being more diligent. But it was BY FAR the most expensive place we stayed and least favorite - we stayed in so many...

We are, sadly, really grateful you have posted a review despite its negative nature. We advertise very clearly that we are a Bed and Breakfast hosted accommodation and that we are a 'home away from home'. Our images show our rooms accurately and we believe we delivered the service we promise on our website. I am sad you did not...

This excellent B & B is a real home from home. Wonderfull hosts who welcomed us with a bottle(!) and nibbles in their kitchen. Nothing was to much trouble, and it is within a short walk to the centre of Wanaka. Beautifull en-suite bedrooms, and a breakfast to set you up for the day! We stayed 3 nights and wished it...
