Korey and Anita make you feel at home straight away with an invitation to "happy hour" in their little bar where Korey is an expert in the local boutique brewery beers. He is also able to tell you all you want to know about the hydro power plants in the area with some unique insider knowledge ;). Anita's scrambled eggs... More

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. We aim to make all our guests welcome on arrival. We are quite proud of the uniquely New Zealand craft beers that we are able to offer our guests, as this is a passion of ours. Korey's "day job" within the power stations gives him insights to the workings of them... More

Great lodge with access to rooms from outside, feels very private. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Lovely family running this B&B and a good hearty brekky was cooked each day. It's no 5-star hotel but definitely a great option if you're driving through the area and well-priced for it's quality. Thanks, would happily stay again.

Korey and Anita were excellent hosts, making us feel welcome but giving us plenty of our own space. Our room was comfortable with our own entrance but we ate breakfast in the family dining room with other guests. It was delicious, relaxed and both hosts were around to tend to every need. Korey gave us excellent advice for our day... More

We arrived and we were sorted and directed to our rooms with everything we needed efficiently. A wonderful family looked after us with a great breakfast each morning and a easter surprise on Sunday. Great big bed, room and shower, coffee and biscuits, it has the style and grace of a 5 star hotel room and the comforts of a... More

Thanks you so much for your kind words. Korey and I strive to achieve this balance. We think that a few home like comforts are important, especially for traveler's on a long trip around New Zealand. Twizel is a great place for those wanting either a action packed holiday or just a relaxed time out. Thanks again Anita More

As many of us "Tripadvisories" have stated, Anita and Korey are really great hosts. The accommodation is well above average, the breakfasts are superb, help and guidance is readily available for local visits and the Lodge is well situated in Twizel for restaurants and shops. There is private parking and the gardens are a lovely oasis of flora that each... More

Thanks for your kind words. Our children enjoyed your visit. They enjoy meeting other children. Maybe we will see you again some day. Yes, the siren is loud, but it is a necessary part of rural communities. I like to send my good thoughts out to the volunteers that go out when it sounds. They do a great job. More

We really enjoyed our stay in the Aoraki Lodge. A 'standard' NZ style hotel room in a very special location, right in middle of town, in a walled private garden, with plenty of space to relax and kick back.
