We booked for 2 nights, and when opened the door to our room realized that this was a very bad choice, room was so old, curtains if you call them curtains were decades old. the TV you had to wait while it warmed up it was very very old. After this shock the bed was clean and the bathroom although... More

Came to tekapo and twizel for a quiet weekend away for my birthday with my partner, decided to stay in twizel to make the most of our trip but our room was terrible. You can't expect much for $90. The tv was probably older than me which only got 2 channels with minimum reception, the beds were hard, pillows flat... More

The fact that the room was clean and the WiFi worked made this lodge acceptable. It is something that I assume backpackers would appreciate although the charge was slightly on the high side for its quality. Would I stay there again? Only if there was nowhere else available.

We were only staying a night. The self-contained unit for 3 people was quite sufficient, tidy and cozy. Supermaket was right across the street. Staff at the reception was not so friendly but wasn't rude either, but that downside curve of their lips was a bit off putting.

Various types of accommodation were available from shared Chalets to studio rooms. All very clean, even the basic rooms. Staff were back packing but friendly. Typical country folk as owners. If you want tourist high class pretensions then this is not the place for you. Centrally located in town. Thanks Chris

Unlesss you are on a budget or a teenager used to backpacking do not book this accommodation. I realise its cheap but apart from being reasonably clean its awful. We booked for 2 nights and I didnt even unpack, just handed the keys back at reception. I did ask at reception if they (then hesitated) and the actual receptionist "anyting... More

Nicely located to town. Close to supermarket and shops. Wifi friendly. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Clean presentable rooms. Overall a pleasant experience at a reasonable price. Would recommend this accommodation to other people looking at visiting Twizel.

I spent 3 night here last year when in Twizel with a group of 14 people. Chris and his family were excellent hosts and we really enjoyed their hospitality, they went out of their way to make our stay awesome. Rooms were spotlessly clean, and with the heating and electric blankets we stayed very warm, important as it snowed overnight!... More

Very friendly owners made you welcome. Our motel room was very clean with crispy white sheets. The shower was a little small but had great pressure. We had a hand basin in our bedroom plus one in the bathroom, nice touch. The place is 50m from the town centre but incredibly quiet. They also have facilities for sports teams, backpackers... More
