The Radisson Blu Resort on Fiji's Denarau Island is often celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere, complete with daily music and performances, although it's noted that the liveliness can sometimes impede relaxation due to noise. While the resort's cleanliness receives high marks, with guests commending the pristine rooms and facilities, opinions on value are mixed, with concerns over the cost of food and services.
The resort's amenities are a hit, especially for families, despite some reports of ongoing renovations and service hiccups. The convenient location near ports and attractions, along with the friendly staff, contribute to a positive stay, yet there are occasional mentions of slow service and noise disruptions.

Detailed Reviews
Our flight arrived super early (before 6am), and check in was at 3pm. The lovely staff took care of our bags for the day, gave us some space to change , and we had access to all the resorts facilities for the day, before we checked in at 3.
The rooms are huge, and well equipped- there's even a kitchenette & washing machine in rooms with 1 or 2 bedrooms. For people in studio rooms, there are guest self-laundry facilities or a laundry service ($) so the choice is yours. You can bring food for some self catered options, but there is plenty of dining options (at various prices) at the hotel.
Neptunes; is waterfront casual outdoor dining- great service and extensive menu, good value.
The Thai restaurant near reception is delightful. It is more upmarket, with cloth napkins and extra service, but the quality and experience matches the price.
The Blu Bar & Grill is the main restaurant overlooking the pool & entertainment area . Buffet style, the breakfasts are extensive, with a dedicated chef cooking eggs your way, cereals/fruit, or full cooked breakfast are available, with traditional Fijian dishes on offer also.
Theme night dinners are offered here also, with plenty of staff on hand to assist, clear plates etc.
Other unique options are dining in the water, or exclusive romantic dining for 2 & the Italian restaurant . We didn't eat at these, but our neighbors did & they were very complimentary of their experiences.
Radisson Blu is set up for families, with a kids club, and well designed activities program, there is always something to do. If you want to chillax, the garden rooms have a private space attached, the adults only pool and spa is secluded quiet space, and there is a day spa also.
This is the second time our family has loved Radisson Blu , and we plan to return in the future.

We spent a night here due to working in the West, taking advantage of the current excellent locals deals due to Covid-19.
I cannot speak highly enough of how wonderful this resort is, from it’s beautiful gardens, stunning pool and beautiful beachfront location.
We booked a garden view room. The decor was beautiful, the rooms were spotless. The bed was AMAZING so comfortable by far the best I’ve ever slept in. Shower was excellent, tea coffee facilities and mini fridge, very quiet, private and secure rooms. In house movies were a huge plus for us.
Due to the current pandemic there was only one restaurant open Blu Bar and Grill but that was fine as there was a large selection of meals available and the food was delicious. We had the mixed grill, and popcorn sweet and sour fish, the portions were very generous and tasted so good.
The resort was very Covid prepared, upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly concierge who had us sanitise and took our temperature. All throughout the resort were sanitising stations set up so you never had to worry about this and all staff wore masks.
We will definitely be coming back here very soon with our teenage sons to spend a weekend.
Cannot recommend this resort enough we will definitely return soon.

Bula Kiwilese Thank you so much for taking the time to write a detailed and very flattering review. We are very aware of the risks posed by the pandemic and no expense has been spared in preparation for the new normal. The welfare of our guests and staff is our highest priority. You will also be happy to note that we have just passed an SGS audit covering our preparedness. We are up there with the rest of the world. All in all, it was very nice of you to notice. We look forward to have you back on property when you are next in the West. Warm regards

We went to Radisson Fiji 10years ago for a family birthday and it was so enjoyable that we returned to celebrate another decade. Super. All the family, young and old, couldn’t speak highly enough of the place.
The rooms are spacious and spotless and although cleaning /servicing times were a bit haphazard it didn’t cause any inconvenience. We hardly left the resort. Played golf and were happy to get back into the fabulous pools.
Never went off site for a meal as we were very happy with the restaurants and Neptune bar. Food. prices not too pricey .
Only issue for us was the rooms weren’t ready at check in time which isn’t helpful after a long flight. This needs fixing.
Staff pleasant and polite if somewhat forgetful at times.
Special mention of Bacario ,the Italian restaurant on site. Christine was great. Food delicious . Make sure you get a massage in the Harmony Spa. You don’t know how much you need it until you’ve had one.
We will return for sure. Recommended but check the price. We booked direct with the hotel 6 months beforehand for a party of more than 12 and the price for next week is 1/3rd of what we paid so if the dates don’t bother you it’s best to wait until close to the date for a better deal.

Bula Vinaka, We are so glad that you and your family came to stay at the Radisson Blu Resort again. It is always wonderful to see guests return. We completely understand how nice it to get in the room after a long flight and we are sorry to hear the room was not ready. Our check in time is at 3pm but we like to have our guest in their room as soon as we can especially after a long flight or recommend a pre-registered room. The rates vary with room category and guest room/suites. Specials are always put in the market as well. It is always best to book in advance as during high season, the hotel gets booked out. The team at Radisson sincerely wishes the chance to welcome you back. Kind regards, Charles Homsy

Our family spent 2 nights at the Radisson Blu Resort Denarau. We also stayed at two other 4 / 5 star rated resorts while in Fiji.
The hotel is located on Denarau Island in close proximity to several other resorts (Sheraton, Westin, Hilton,...etc.) approximately a 20-minute drive from Nadi Airport. Bula Buses run all day making stops at various resorts and the Denarau Port Terminal. Bula Bus passes are available at $8 per day per person. The ride from Radisson Blu to Port Denarau takes ~ 5 minutes if you have a rental car or ~10 minutes on a Bula Bus.
Valet and self-parking are free at Radisson Blu if you have a rental vehicle.
The reception area is open air and well lit. We arrived early and had to wait in the lobby for ~ 1 hour for our room to be ready at ~ 3pm. The strong smell of fried food scent in the lobby was a bit overwhelming for a 4-star resort.
Our lagoon view room on the ground floor faces dense plants outside the patio so the "lagoon view" classification is a stretch. However, pool access from the back porch was easy relative to units on higher floors. Our unit is spacious and impeccably clean with a full kitchen along with a washer and a dryer. The washer/dryer worked well and were able to handle the loads efficiently for the family. Powdered laundry detergent packets were placed under the kitchen sink free of charge.
The pool has a water slide which kids seem to enjoy. Lounge chairs by the pool side were usually occupied. The resort has a very small beach area which can be accessed during low tide.
The breakfast buffet restaurant has a dormitory look and fell rather than what is expected from a 4 / 5 star resort. The choices and quality of breakfast items and service were average at best. Wait staff's group goodbye chorus for departing guests brought some personal touch to the ambiance. Other than that, the breakfast was not up to par.
The resort offers babysitting services which may come in handy for families with young kids. Prices seem reasonable at FJD $44, $50, and $56 for 1, 2, and 3 kids respectively for the first 3 hours. Charges are FJD $9, $12, & $15 per hour afterwards at the time of our visit.
The near ~$500 USD per night room rate we paid included daily breakfast for the family but still seemed a bit pricey for the amenities this resort offered.

Bula Vinaka, Thank you for taking the time to give us a detailed review. Denarau itself has a few Resorts and also a Marina with shops, restaurants etc. if guests prefer to go down to the Marina and also buses/taxis are always available. Our Thai Restaurant, Chantara is located just near the lobby so you would get the aroma of food cooking at times. Its great the Suite with the kitchen, washer/dryer facilities were handy for you. We always do our best to preserve our greenery and from time to time have them trimmed so it is well maintained and also especially for the ground floor, helps with a bit more privacy while relaxing on the patio. Apart from the buffet breakfast, we also have options for Ala Carte Breakfast at Neptunes if you do not wish to dine at the buffet and want to have something else for breakfast. We have been rated the no: 1 Family Resort on the Island and there are different categories of rooms and suites which vary in prices with peak and off peak times. Kind regards, Charles Homsy

Rooms are ok. No bath in the room. Overall is clean but the bedsheets was dirty but they fixed it. The king sized bed was two singles stuck together so it was uncomfortable. When i asked for a king size bed, they couldn’t change it.
The pool is very small and is suited to children only. Although they have an adult only pool, it is very small and shallow. The surface of the pool is rough.
The resort is family friendly, so if you are young family then this is a good resort.
We didn’t have the breakfast buffet so cannot comment on it.
The only give one bottle of water per day but be sure you visit a local supermarket in Nadi and purchase filtered bottle water and snacks before you get to the Hotel. Snacks are very expensive. A bag of chips is upwards of $12.
The food in the hotel is not that great. It’s expensive and bland. The Thai Resturant is excessively over priced.

Bula Azita1984 i appreciate you taking the time to give us a review. I am happy that our staff responded promptly to your complaint and also wanted to clarify that our suites do have baths so I am assuming you were in a guest room that does not. We do provide one complimentary bottle of water in the room and only today are commissioning a $250,000 5 micron filtration plant with additional UV and carbon filtering that will eliminate the need for us to place plastic bottles in the rooms. This will also have remote monitoring with specialists in NZ overseeing everything. I will check but I think you may be mistaken about the price of the chips in the mini mart. Food is a difficult one as people's tastes vary suffice to say that currently our Thai restaurant is sitting at #4 on Denarau on this forum. All our outlets are in the Top 10. We will definitely look into the rough surface of the pool and as always are open to constructive feedback. We hope to see you back at the resort in the not too distant future. Warm regards

Stayed here for 6 days with friends, food is very expensive and they are trying to be to fancy, a child pood in the pool so that turned us of swimming, the pools here are not very appealing, very cloudy and not deep to actually swim. The spa was gorgeous the treatments offered are devine and the staff are wonderful
Our room was cleaned daily and was lovely, cant fault the staff in house keeping at all
Just feel the pool isnt exactly a great experience and the food needs a change. Little things like cold milk at breakfast and wiping down sticky chairs and tables.

Bula S7049DKmichellew We thank you for your review and your kind words about our housekeeping ladies. . The cleaning of our pool is outsourced and we have shared your feedback with the company that do our pools. We are monitoring this more closely and have had more positive feedback. As for the sticky furniture and cold milk, I have had discussions with the senior leadership here and you can count on us to remedy this immediately. Warm regards

It’s extremely well catered to families. The rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. It is quite a big resort so you can possibly get rooms that are a little far away from amenities and can be abit of walk.
We stayed in a 1bdroom garden view even though we were given the option of a lagoon view room as reviews has said it can get pretty noisy even at night time. We also requested for a lower level room so there’s less stairs to walk with the 2 toddlers. The rooms are not the newest but the housekeeping is top notch so it’s very clean. Our kitchen also had everything that you may need to make your own food like toaster kettle plates utensils and pots. The room is very spacious so lots of space for the kids to play when we r back in the room away from the sun (between mid day and 3pm was the hottest).
The family pool is 100% built for kids. Its pretty much like a beach with sand surrounding it and it’s shallow and gets deeper and deeper as you go into the pool. Our kids bring big sand fans loves it and never want to leave.
I would agree with the other reviews that if you are a couple with no kids. This isn’t the place for you. Even with the adults pool area etc. you can still hear the kids playing and all.
Food on the resort is standard. Expensive as expected and it’s also not the greatest. The Neptune’s food shack had burgers and pizza ranging from fjd25 to fjd40. The buffet breakfast is pretty good though with lots of options to choose from but can also get very crowded.
Overall despite it being peak season - we did enjoy our stay very much and the kids had a ton of fun. We will definitely consider staying here again when we visit fiji next.

The rooms are well serviced & our young sons loved the setup especially with free movies during our stay. Our room was very close to the restaurant & family swimming pool making it easier for us parents to monitor our sons while swimming. The slide is very child-friendly as it is not very deep for children. We played table tennis & chess & the boys could not get enough playing chess & i think they now loved this game. Great food & outstanding customer service & bula smiles.

We recently did a family holiday to Radisson Blu Fiji and could the resort was very well maintained and nothing out of place or needed work. The staff were FANTASTIC and always wanting to assist you. The resort is more family orientated but there were areas for adults only and quite areas to sit and relax.
There are a number of restaurants within the resort including Lebanese, Italian and Thai. The Lebanese restaurant had the best Lebanese food I have had for a while and a great surprise. The Thai and Italian were great but don’t missing going to the Lebanese or lunch or dinner.
The rooms are one of the best we have stayed in and for families it’s well worth getting the one bedroom apartment with all the usual including washing machine and dryer, kitchen and lounge and dinning area. The smaller motel room style unit was large and connected to the one bedroom apartment. Well worth the money for a big family.
Water sports including jet ski’s are available and the 3 hr jet ski tour to Treasure island and snorkelling on the reef is well worth the time and expense. It is not cheap but well worth it.
What was a let down was the general dinning where you get a choice bistro or A la carte. At times they did not do the bistro and the A la carte took 45 minutes to and hour to get your food. Now A la carte was just burgers, pizza, pasta etc and should not take 45min to an hour god forbid you then ordered desert which could take another 45 minutes. Drink orders were the same and became frustrating in the end particularly when you have kids.
The problem I saw was that the resort only has one main general dinning area and one main bar and all are by the pool area. The only other bar was near the front entrance to the resort. They need to have a few more alternatives ( be it temporary during high season) or hire more staff to cater.
In all a great resort and very enjoyable.

We have stayed here more than 6 times in the last 12months, as it is the best accommodation around.
All the staff are super friendly and helpful every single time.
The most recent stay was for three months during the Covid lockdown where the hotel offered a lease instead of pay by the night. We were temperature tested everytime we came back from the supermarket or a walk and they followed social distancing in the one restaurant that remained open.
We had an apartment and it has everything you need; bath tub, full kitchen, separate bedroom and a balcony. There was a cyclone on this occasion and the hotel had us well prepared and they cleaned up fast afterwards.
During a normal stay there are 4 restaurants and a couple of bars. We eat at the italian everytime as they are super helpful with my dietry requirements (they take these details on check-in so they can be prepared) and the bruschetta is delicious!
The beach restaurant does great cauliflower wings and onion rings.
The thai restaurant is nice too.
There is a huge pool here that sweeps around the centre of the resort and there is an adults only pool with 2 jacuzzis.
There is lots of entertainment on each day and night too.
The location is great, with only a short walk to other hotels restaurants and the marina shops are a short bus ride away.
We would definitely stay again.
Big thank you to all the staff working during covid who helped make our stay extra special.

Bula hisandherstravel Thank you so much for your kind words and most importantly the support. Without guests like yourself we would not be able to remain open and for that we are grateful. We are very serious about keeping our staff and guests safe and are the only property in Fiji so far to achieve the SGS Pledge in terms of COVID 19 compliance safety protocols. We look forward to your continued patronage. Warm regards

We stayed recently with 2 bedrooms and the Lagoon view and we had a bathroom in each room. They were adjoinining rooms next to each other with one bathroom including a shower and toilet with a small set of chairs and coffee table beside the bed.
The second adjoining room was larger and included a kitchenette, dining table, couch/TV. The bathroom was bigger including a shower, bathub and toilet.
You can buy drinks/beer in the resort shop and the fridge is good
They do have a pull out bed couch in the lounge area and a pull out price is best to ring to check the price per night.Hope this help
