Stayed three nights whilst attending a conference in Ipswich. We were accommodated in a large, ancient room with a kingsize bed and an uneven floor. Wonderful! We didn't meet the ghost of a previous owner, James Tyrell, who, allegedly, murdered the princes in the tower, but he would not have been unexpected..... Everywhere was beautifully appointed and clean. Caroline and... More

We visited this property through the Invitation to View scheme today. We were warmly greeted by the owner who showed us round his delightful property, including the amazing bedrooms where their bed and breakfast guests stay - one has got a four poster bed in it! We were then treated to scones and cakes and a cup of tea at... More

A beautifully-kept property, with a wealth of interesting artefacts, easily accessed off the main A14 road. Very spacious accommodation, lovely gardens, splendid food and, to cap it all, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for our hosts.

Despite arriving 3 hours earlier than I said I would I was welcomed with tea and fruit loaf in the garden. My room was huge and very well provisioned. The evening meal was delicious and eating with the hosts was really enjoyable. The breakfast was mostly home grown and home reared and was really superb. Highly recommended. I just need... More

A spacious and charming house with an interesting history in a handy location for central Suffolk mid way between Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds. Accommodating and attentive hosts who provided us with a delicious breakfast. We took two rooms for a family wedding in the village and all slept very well. We would recommend to others and would definitely stay... More

Great location for central Suffolk. As a party of six we took all three rooms. The house is truly a home from home. Dinner is a must to take in the atmosphere. Breakfast is as good as it gets. The hosts made the stay exceptional especially with the many tales of the expected and unexpected. Overall a joyful experience which... More

My sister and her friends spent two nights at Haughley House last week. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay, and were most impressed with the hospitality. The accommodation was very comfortable, and the breakfasts and dinners were delicious. The attention to detail was excellent, and nothing was too much trouble for our charming hosts.

I stayed here this month and was extremely pleased, upon arrival I was warmly greeted and offered coffee and cake whilst checking in which was a lovely touch. I was then shown to my room, the room was lovely and had everything in that I needed. In the morning I was greeted with an array of things for my breakfast... More
