This "pension" has no elevator, no lobby, no restaurant, no AC and no English-language channels. Other than that, it is fine. What made the place acceptable for one night was the lovely, in every way, Ms. Mullnerova, who put us in one of the two best rooms in the place after we told her the room assigned was unacceptable. We... More

We wanted just to eat something regional and we visited this place based on recommendation. Disaster! Do not go there! Staff was kind and interieur invited but the cook need to learn a lot about culinary. 1 day old semifinished products, half dry pancaces and not fineshed duck. I have get it back and refused to pay. I was visiting Banska Stiavnica and Penzion Cosmopolitan II just after Christmas 2014 as it was a present from my boyfriend. Banska Stiavnica itself is a beautiful place to stay in winter and in summer as well. Penzion Cosmopolitan II is very atmospheric with nice old furniture and spacious rooms. We had such a great week there and we are... More

We stayed just after Christmas 2014. I chose Banska Stiavnica because of its location in a beautiful valley and its UNESCO protected historical sights. 500 year old building of Penzion Cosmopolitan II could be one of the sights. Our room was very spacious with the original features on display and modern amenities added. Penzion Comsmopolitan II is located right in... More

We were there shortly after Christmas. First of all, the location is perfect! It's very close to center of town, very easy to find and has its own mine & cellar. The room (Wilchen's) is very clean and spacious, and great value in our opinion despite we didn't see the other rooms they have. Since we knew very little about... More

The town is known for the silver and gold mining that used to be done there so it was a great greeting with a look in the wine cellar and grotto/cave behind reception. On the main street of the town with lots of restaurants close by. Stairs were steep to get to our rooms. Two couples with a double room each.... More

Stayed in rooms facing the main street during the warm summer and whole family was satisfied. Rooms were clean and spacious. Equipment (e.g. TV) is a bit outdated, but there is not much to see in TV anyway :-) Breakfast was OK too. The only thing I was missing was air-conditioning, which would be really welcome during the summer. Fortunately... More

We stayed in this hotel several times and highly recommend it to couples as well as families with children. It´s a cozy place with good service, situated in the heart of historical town. Rooms are spacious, nicely furnished with beds with good quality matresses. We especially liked the Suite which has interesting old semi-arc high ceiling. This hotel offers only... More

We booked this hotel on the internet.
