Hotel Elefant is located in the village centre of Ora at the Wine Road near Lake Caldaro. Ora is an ideal excursion destination during any season of the year. The village is a picturesque little town characterised by Mediterranean flair, historic buildings, and culinary specialties and delights. Furthermore, Ora at the South Tyrolean Wine Road is well known for its noble wines.

The hotel has a really great breakfast buffet. You can park your own vehicle in the nearby underground car park at the town hall.
Some of the rooms - at least those on the 4th floor - are a little dated and the shower cubicle in the bathroom in particular could not be closed 100%, so that a small "flood" was produced every time you showered. On the other hand, there is free WiFi and the mattresses on the beds were also excellent.
The only disadvantage for me: As I was currently suffering from a torn muscle fiber, it was not so easy for me to walk up the stairs to the top floor, because the elevator unfortunately only goes up to the 3rd floor.
The menu is also highly recommended. Unfortunately, the bar is only open until 11:30 p.m.
I would be happy to come back any time.

We are a family of 3 people, and we stayed from 8 to 10 December on half board. We had a great time. Friendly and helpful staff. Abundant breakfasts and dinner of your choice. The only note is that dinner drinks are not included in the price and is not communicated. And water costs €4.60 per litre. We stayed in a structure detached from the main one, but it wasn't a problem because it was very close. The car had its own covered parking and was always close to the structure. Excellent value for money, the lovely village and excellent location to reach many destinations. Hotel in the center of Ora on the wine route, clean structure and very kind staff. Our room, on the first floor, with air conditioning and a terrace with table and chairs overlooking the main street of Ora, however very quiet. Breakfast with sweet and savory foods (cold cuts, cheese, eggs and various vegetables), hot drinks from an automatic machine which are still good. The hotel offers the possibility of parking for free in an unattended underground covered car park located a few steps from the hotel. Equipped with wifii with psw. Friendly reception staff. The only flaw is perhaps the very soft pillows. The hotel has a bar with tables overlooking the square with friendly staff.

The best about this hotel is that is located in the heart of Ora (Auer) and the bus stop is nearby. Otherwise not many good news: outdated furniture, very, very outdated bathrooms (the tiniest ever), mediocre breakfast and even more mediocre service. Beware of the senior owner as she is ill-tempered, other staff is not particularly friendly either. The maids however are very friendly and thorough. Also note that one cannot check-in before 15:00 hrs under any circumstances, and they make you wait until the clock chimes.

I had already been to this hotel on other occasions about ten years ago. Now, returning to Trentino Alto Adige, I stayed there for a few days on half board and always found great friendliness and helpfulness. Excellent cleanliness and service, very good cuisine with local and non-local dishes, good quality/price ratio. The location in the center of Ora, just outside the motorway exit of the same name, is extremely convenient for easily reaching the main cities (Trento, Bolzano, Merano) and tourist locations (Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa) with short transfers. , Wine Route) allowing for a complete holiday (urban centres, castles, museums, cellars, ski lifts and excursions). The free covered parking is also equally convenient. For all these reasons, I consider the Hotel Elefant definitely "RECOMMENDED".

As a couple we stayed for four days over the New Year period with a double room and half board with dinner included. Structure in the center of the town of Ora, excellent cleanliness and kind and friendly staff. The hotel has a modern lobby and room. Breakfast and meals were very good, well plated and with a wide choice. Price quality more than convenient and we recommend this hotel for those who love tranquility and at the same time those who want to visit cities like Bolzano or Trento or enjoy the mountains.

Courtesy, cleanliness, availability. I stayed on half board with decent cuisine. Comfortable hotel in the city center, they have covered parking spaces for cars/motorcycles in the garage nearby. Being on a motorbike I wasn't lucky due to bad weather. But still I managed to enjoy a piece of Alto Adige as I wanted.

Excellent in every sense from the professionalism and courtesy of the owner family to the skills of all the staff who proved polite, helpful and professional even in the most challenging moments such as the end of the year. Excellent dinner on 31.12 and well beyond the quality/price ratio. The location and the free mobile cards make it an ideal place to explore South Tyrol.

We were welcomed with great friendliness. The rooms were announced very professionally and quickly. We were given all the necessary information and we were in good hands!
In the evening in the restaurant, the service was competent and naturally polite. The food and drinks exceeded our expectations. Requests for information about specific travel destinations were answered perfectly and promptly.
All in all, a visit that calls for a repeat.
