It was a very disapointing stay. First the sistem of booking the property -really confusing. We called them, they provide us website that we should be able to make a reservation... On the provided website it was impossible to make a reservation so we had to call AGAIN. Then they gave us different number to make a booking. Finally the booking been made. On arrival day. We gave them a call just when we reached La Maddalena to ask if we could go earlier to our appartment (as we traveld from early morning so we wanned to fresh in up), The reception lady said there is no problem to registrate now as they already have our room ready, she said that we might need to wait for 10-15 min just for a check before letting us in. So we drove straight to hotel, after we came, the reception lady sayed to us that they are not allowed to let us in before 15 p.m . Which is fair enough, but why to say then that you can let us in through the phone NOW and after say differently??? When we finally got appartment it was really dissapointing. It looked clean at first, but when you started to touch things around they were sticky and not cleaned. One bedroom way more smaller then the other and more, that bedroom do not have doors that would close properly as the lock is broken... The conditioning problem is that there is only one remote.. So we were have to ask all the time each other to give us a remote. The good thing that beds and pillows were really comfortable. However, We were 4of us and non of us will be back, for sure, as the price was not worth it. …
Our stay was spoiled by all the extra fees that we were charged on our arrival. I think it depends on what website you book with, but with Weekendesk the price of the property did not include pretty much anything (no breakfast, no bedsheets nor towels). The annoying thing is that the terms and conditions of what the residence offers are hidden and not easy to find on your booking. There is a fee for cleaning your flat at the end of the holiday (€50 - €70); a fee of €7 per day and, if you want bedsheets and towels, you have to pay €20 per person. Plus, we checked in half an hour later than the check-in time and we had to pay a €20 fee. The apartment was spacious and clean, but the furniture was average. I would not stay there again because of the lack of clarity with their booking system.…
The apartment was spatious, far from the centere and the beach, but well located towards Caprera (if you have a car). However, it had a number of problems, such as missing lights in the kitchen and the bathroom, hob only partially working, broken shower temporarily fixed with tape, missing cutlery. We had to insist a lot to get the problems fixed, but at least the main ones were addressed by the irritated staff. However the Staff has always been rude, unhelpful and annoyed by our requests, which were exclusively motivated by the malfunctioning of the flat.
We paid for one night through Expedia and they refused to accommodate us. Simona and Gianfranco were very unreasonable and honestly I don't know why they were not ready for our arrival. The reception is nearly impossible to find and the residence is at a place very far from anything relevant. I don't recommend this for anyone unless you want to get your telephone call ended by a receptionist in whom residence you've paid to stay.
This residence is quiet and clean. It really looks like the photos on the web site. The residence is modern and almost new. The major problem is that it's located too far away from anything. Around there's no beach, no shop nor bus nearby. You should have a car to move to the beach or downtown but La Maddalena is not overrun by cars so you can find a carpark easily.
We have just came back from our nice holidays in Sardegna and we choice fro those days was Residenze La vele. These appartments are far from everything and the sorroundings have nothing special, no sea, no shops..just nothing!! Corcerning the appartments are quite new but there are not well equiped (NO sheets, NO towells....). The staff was not very helpful in any moment of our staying and we found really nicer accomodation for the same prize.
We just came back. WIll will surely be back!!! If you ever plan a vacation to La Maddalena islands (I highly recommend it) this residence is what you are looking for! The apartment was not in the centre of the town but easily reachable by car in a 2 minute drive from the centre (we could have walked it all the time....but we're a little lazy! lol). Letizia and Gianfranco were very welcoming and did everything they could have to let us enjoy our stay the best way possible. The apartment was charming. We were upgraded to a bigger unit since we were lucky May is not the high season yet. FIY, if you want calm, the beaches and restaurants all forf yourself...no lineups anywhere but at the same time..enjoying everthing that La Maddalena has...try May/June. It was AMAZING! Unit was spotlessly clean. Will be back!…
We just returned from a 9 days holiday on La Maddalena and Residenze Le Vele met our expectations. Good value for money, even more if you go at the beginning/end of the season when some offers are on (check their website). The flats are pretty new, in a large building in a residential area at the end of a small road. Rooms are large and spacious, air conditioned, bathrooms clean and the floors in the apartment are all tiled. Close to some shops and a supermarket, about 5-10 min. drive to the center and a short drive to various beaches. Some can take a bit longer, like 20 min. to get to the Relitto beach on the Caprera (it's worth it, see photos). The staff will help anyway with tips on where to go, offers at some restaurants, boat trips, etc. They are friendly and helpful, speak very good english and dealt in a professional manner with all our queries. Hopefully we can return some day to La Maddalena and if we do we will choose Le Vele again!…
