Stayed here for a wedding recently and it was a lovely place. I stayed in a twin stableyard room which was ok for 100 euro per night but I saw some of the other rooms and they were much more spacious and plush - and more expensive but not greatly so. Good value for such a nice place. Breakfast was... More

This hotel is amazing, truly well worth a visit. You will be blown away by this place,it's that good. The rooms are amazing,we stayed in room 114 and the view out over the gardens was great to wake up to. Attended a wedding here. We had a drinks reception in the sunshine overlooking the grounds and our room was right beside a lovely rose garden. The steak for dinner was ok, little bit tough but came with very nice potatoes and veg. My girlfriend's veggie pasta dish was fantastic, really tasty. Dessert was lovely as well. Nice wines and they... More

We were just on a one night stay for my wife's birthday. On arrival the staff are friendy and efficient no delays at checking. Very welcoming just a table set out in the entrance hall no huge desk with staff all stuck behind it. We went for a room on the second floor with a Chinese theme. Fabulous room massive... More

Fantastic place, one of the best wedding function venues we have been too. Accommodation was superb, staff were great, food spot on, location excellent, only a 2 minute walk down a tree lined drive way and you are in the village of Durrow.

Myself and my now Husband recently got married at Castle Durrow, at the end of July. We booked the venue February 2015 for a small wedding of 100 guests, to include our wedding ceremony. We had stayed with them before & had visited many times so we always dreamed of having our big day there… I honestly don't know where... More

We stayed here fore one night. It was a luxurious accommodation on a picturesque spot. The grounds have a garden that grows some of the produce they use for the meals. They will bring coffee and tea to you at any time while staying there. The rooms are spacious with a nice bathroom.

Great hotel for a romantic break. the castle is so homely and if feels like you are a guest in someone's home. The food has been great everytime we stayed over. The castle rooms are beautiful and would definitely recommend to stay in them. Only downside is no pool area

Let me begin by telling you that i am a huge fan of this hotel. Right from the tree lined entrance to the front door it is a thing of beauty. The Hotel itself is a stunning example of how an Irish stately home can be adapted and modernized to create a wonderful and unique experience for guests. As a... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Castle Durrow is located in the heart of the village. A fully restored, magnificent 300 year old Mansion with luxurious bedrooms each with their own atmosphere. Our restaurant is located in stunning south-facing rooms, decorated with mirrors and hand blocked wallpaper, our head chef creates delicious seasonal menus, popular with visitors and locals alike. We are a terrific place to relax and let romance and Guinness de-stress the mind and body in our cosy bar and reception rooms. In the Magnificent garden, with fabulous scented borders and a walled garden, from where our chefs pick their daily produce, you can stroll around for hours or have a more vigorous walk by the river and in the hills adjoining the castle. A stay at the castle with Dinner and some romance would not be complete without a beauty treatment in our salon , aptly named the Powder box ! ... more   less
