If there is anything striking for me with this hotel, it's that it resembles the hotel from The Shining. The hotel is a bit old and it is in the middle of nowhere. We stayed there as part of our tour package from Extreme Iceland. The food is a bit pricy (quite usual for Iceland) and the bathroom needs some...

LOCATION Just off of the Ring Road, if you're in the area you can't go wrong and you will have no trouble finding in. While there may not be much to do within a walking distance, at least not in the winter, you're only about 20 minutes from Jokulsarlon and Hofn. HOTEL / RECEPTION Checked in just before 9pm, the...

After a long drive from the capital we were looking forward to a hot shower and a comfy bed and we are happy to say this hotel came through. It all starts with the friendly receptionist Gudbjorg Hilja, who was also more than happy to assist us with our onward journey providing places to see. The buffet breakfast the following...

Bus trips stop here to spend the night and the restaurant is good anyways, even thou they will have the income and that speaks good of the place. Rooms are big service is kind, paid 234 EUR in low season, for a room for 4, breakfast included. Maybe too much info but that helps knowing based on what was the...

When we pulled up to the hotel in the late evening, there were a handful of buses parked in the lot. The hotel appears to cater to large tour groups out of Reykjavik. The hotel is quite busy and can get noisy. It took us a long time to check in. No one was at the front desk and it...

We arrived here after a full day of driving seeing sites along the way. Closeby for a 40 minute drive to visit the beautiful Glacier Lagoon and a little further to hike the glacier...whereby you can hire boots... Rooms were comfortable but basic....we had no soap!! Great place to sight the Northern lights as there are no city lights here....

Room was very clean and comfortable. Nice location right off the ring road. The staff was very nice. Had dinner here as well and it was quite good. The breakfast is pretty good, go early because they don't seem to restock it once the group tours leave. Hotel is definitely focused for tour groups but I didn't have any issues....

We were here for a night stay and found that the hotel is clean and tidy as what described by others before. The staffs are all willing to help in all directions. Especially a staff named Gudbjorg hilja, she spent more than half an hour to help us to book a Ice caving trip successfully that was supposed a late...

Basic rooms that are clean and comfortable for a trip around the Ring Road. Good place for a chance to see the Northern lights. Family run and they are so warm and welcoming. Breakfast buffet and then the owner also walks around and brings waffles right to you! Coffee and tea available.

Another hotel chosen for the round the island tour with no disappointment. It is near a few tourist attractions in the southern Iceland. Good size room with comfortable bed. Good service. Perfect for a quick one night stay.
