We are pleased to present to you the Art Hotel Nirvana!
This special structure is located in the south area of Shumen, at the foot of the green hill that overlooks the city.
The original exterior architecture introduces a luxurious interior, with different decor in each room. Inside you will find a functional meeting room, swimming pool, relax centre and a bar-restaurant. Together with the fresh clean air of the hill, these facilities contribute to create a perfect symbiosis between a holiday and a business trip - lunches, dinners and business meetings, all within the cultural and historical landscape of Shumen and the fun of family parties and romantic dinners. The idea for the hotel was conceived with the utmost care in each detail, together with oriental philosophies, to give guests unique emotions in each room; the colour of each guest room represents one of the seven Chakras responsible for the energetic centres of the human body.
I just returned from 8 nights at the Art Hotel Nirvana, and it was an amazing experience. It was in a quiet and upscale part of town and I was immediately impressed upon arrival at how clean and well appointed everything was on the outside. We were greeted warmly and got to our rooms without any issues or delays. Our rooms were spotless and fully stocked with everything we needed. The entire stay was amazing. Zero issues of any kind to mention. Darin, the owner came and greeted us and could not have been more friendly. A special thanks to Petrinka, Genadi, and Ivan for being so welcoming, friendly, and willing to help. I can't wait to go back and stay with them again and enjoy the beautiful town of Shumen.
This boutique hotel is a bit hard to find but is definitely worth the effort. Rooms are large and well maintained. We had an issue with plumbing and it was resolved within minutes. Outstanding service! Breakfast on the terrace was great. Very friendly Owners and staff! Deserves it's No.1 Rating!
Wonderful place ,clean and unique interior !I would always visit this hotel on every trip! :-),,, Service is at a high level! The food is incredibly delicious !... During our stay at the hotel we were not deprived of anything!!!
Great hotel! Maybe the best in Shumen. I like the interior of the rooms, the food is good, and the location! Favourite room the lavender room, so romantic. Will Recommend this place to my friends.........
I've staid in the Nirvana for maybe more than 20 times, and always everything was like it should be: services, friendly staff (fortunately most of them speak English), food, the room, relaxing with a gin-tonic in the garden, a bit out of the center of the city, ... Sometimes the dog next door is barking early in the morning, but ok, I don't mind so much.
A wonderful surprise in an isolated back street. This remarkable boutique hotel is tastefully decorated, offers large well equipped rooms and serves excellent food for dinner. Service is flawless with professional and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
My wife and I arrived today and everything is out of this world. We drove from Sveti Vlas on some of the worst roads in Bulgaria. However we were greeted with a big smile and the most helpful informative team of employees ever. We walked the 1300 steps up to the Shumen monument (not for the unhealthy ones) great climb and fantastic sights. We came back to the hotel and have just had a wonderful 3 course meal that was as good if not better than a 5 star hotel in the uK. We will definitely come back 👍
My wife and I stayed in the Nirvana Hotel in Shuman during a 10-day holiday in Bulgaria. The hotel is located to the south of the city and is somewhat isolated just below the large wooded hill behind the city on top of which is a huge concrete monument (see separate review). We received a warm welcome from Genadi, who spoke good English, and were able to park our car outside the hotel. Our room was the best in the hotel and beautifully decorated with a lot of space opening onto a balcony and also a large bathroom. It had all the usual conveniences, including free Wi-Fi, although this was rather intermittent. However, there was no kettle. It was clean and the four-poster bed was comfortable. Because it was quite a distance to the town centre and we did not want to drive, we ate at the hotel. The food was wonderful and the service friendly and efficient. Regrettably, we were the only people in the restaurant that night, which is a shame, as it is a beautiful room. The breakfast was from an a la carte menu. Overall, a very nice boutique hotel.…
Probably the best hotel in town. Quiet area with a back garden and views of the hill, lovely international menu in the restaurant (I recommend the stuffed chicken with couscous) and of course trying local wines. Each room is different as I found out in my different stays in Shumen.
Booked through Booking.com and was looking forward to a good rest after driving for 14 hours in a snow storm, arrived in Shumen only to find the road up a hill to the hotel was in deep snow and our small car could not get up, we phoned the hotel and they advised us to book in at another hotel that was across town, but was then road blocked by snow plows, ended up waiting in the car at the bottom of the hill from Art Hotel Nirvana till morning, then walked up the hill in the morning, no breakfast or hot drink was offered even tho it was in with the price and then only to find that the hotel owner had a jeep and could have picked us up no problem, for this reason we decided not to stay there as their humanity was left on the road outside, they still charged us 107 BNG for nothing, its all about money and did not even ask how we were!! My advice to you is stay well clear in the winter months as they do not make any effort to clear the narrow lane of snow for their customers that pay good money, this problem could have been easily avoided by putting salt down.…
