If you’re looking for adventure and relaxing, eñuenos is the place to stay! Although there is no AC or hot water, the lodge is designed to allow people to experience more of nature. There is an outdoor shower and open kitchen where you can stone bake your food or cook over a fire! The hammocks are absolutely magical when the stars come out and the northern breeze hits! On top of the environment, the staff are some of the most amazing people you will ever meet. I hope to see Kira’s puppies one day!

We had several options where to stay, finally we decided on Ensueños and it was the best decision ever. I am pretty convinced it's the best place on the island. VERY RUSTIC, no wifi, no electricity at night. Its not for everyone, but we felt in paradise, one of the best beach vacations ever. You have to life it to understand. At first owner seemed arrogant, but after getting to know him he changed our mind: friendly and very interesting story teller.

We stayed at the Canada house at Ensuenos and loved it. You can see the beautiful clear water through the forest from this place we had our own cool outdoor shower and bathroom. And a four burner propane stove and our own kitchen area. The big wooden windows open up to beautiful jungle garden and the birds wil wake you at sunrise to start the day. The reefs are fantastic for snorkeling right out front, my kids ( 9 and 13) were like fish by the time we left. We saw turtles, nurse sharks, rays, beautiful coral, and sooooo much more. And spent hours upon hours in the water, hire a boat to take you to the outer reef for even more wonderful underwater times. Ramon, Judith and the family are lovely and helpful his adorable little ones brought my kids around to meet some of the animals. The dogs were wonderful, I was amazed by them, they seemed to know you were a guest as soon as you checked in with the hosts but would bark if anyone else came in, which was comforting. The food was really amazing! For lunch and dinner you must let them know in advance as it take a while to rustle up a meal when things are foraged and fished. And just 5 min down the beach the fish fry place was also great. We were here for 10 days so it was nice to mix it up between cooking and dining out. A few nice meals had in town as well 30 min away you can walk the middle island jungle trail or the coast is a bit longer. Think of this as glamping, no fridge or ice and thankfully no wifi, we also had playing cards that saw a lot of use Bring long sleeve shirt and pants if mosquitoes tend to like you and maybe some after Bite, also flashlight, and a good book!

Entered property with guests, was going to beach to go night snorkeling. Got to beach a bit before ten and then was bit by one of their dogs. My vacation is over. The dog inflicted a deep bite on my leg. Now im doing a course of antibiotics instead of snorkeling. No beware of dog sign or anything. No compensation from Ramon despite the local law. Nointegrity from the owners. just childish behaviour that puts there dogs and other unsuspecting visitors in danger Read the other reviews, it has happened before and will happen again. I hope the community of little corn reviews this and works together with or without Ramon to stop future dogs bites from ensuenos, and takes action to hold ramon responsible for his negligence that has caused dog bites to tourists.

My dogs are fine, Mr Tyler. They learn the smell of all our guests and the guests make friends with them. If you come for the first time, at that late hour of the night, my dogs will bark and bite you because that is their work. Their mission is to keep safe our visitors from unexpected nocturnal visits. Such is life when you live in the jungle, my friend. We apologized already with you kindly for the bite and it was only when you came back trying to get an economical profit out of being bitten while you intruding our home while we sleep, that it was a little bit too much. And now you give us this lovely review in Trip advisor - trying to feed a negative vibe against our place and our lovely dog family? Well, my boy, maybe my old dog knew the type of person you were from first smell... they are really smart!

I just spent 11 nights at Ensuenos and loved it! I stayed in the “Coco Attic” which, at $25 per night, was probably the most basic accommodation option. I literally had to climb up a tree and through a hole in the floor to get into my room, lol! But, I kinda knew what I was getting into when I booked that room and I thought it was fun! There was a comfy double mattress with a mosquito net and there were also towels and candles. For $25, I have no complaints! I wanted to be in a quiet, peaceful place surrounded by the jungle and the ocean and I was not disappointed. Ensuenos is super funky and cool and has the best beach. I loved the outdoor shower and I was so pleased that there was clean well water to drink right from the tap. Cooking on the open fire was fun, too. I mostly just made tea and oatmeal and fruit but it really helped me keep the costs down, as food on Little Corn is expensive. Don’t come expecting a full service hotel with a concierge service and staff that all speak English. Do expect some things to be on island time. It’s all part of the experience! They just hired Wolfgang, an enthusiastic young guy from Managua to help out with the guests. He is super-cool and friendly and speaks English well. I really enjoyed hanging out with him during my stay. About the walk through the jungle . . . I actually really enjoyed it. It’s green and beautiful and the paths are easy to follow. You definitely need a flashlight, though. As a solo female traveler, I didn’t chance it by attempting to walk back to Ensuenos in the dark alone. That just seemed like asking for trouble. I either went out in a group or found someone in town to walk home with. I also heard that you can ask the staff at whatever restaurant you’re at to find a trustworthy local to walk you home for a small fee. The snorkeling was great right off the beach! The guys in the “Siet Hermanos” boat take folks out most days. It’s not a well-organized business with scheduled snorkeling tours or anything! You can try approaching the guys when you see their boat pull up, check with the staff and then see what happens. They had good gear and charge $15 for two hours of excellent snorkeling. I probably went out with them five times and it was the highlight of my stay. I didn’t eat at Ensuenos much because I was out there alone and liked going to town to socialize in the evenings. I had one phenomenal dinner there and one that was not substantial enough. To be fair, I think they were waiting for the fisherman that night and he didn’t come. Breakfast was excellent, though! They make a really yummy coconut bread. I also really liked that they had yoga mats and a place where I could practice every morning, the “palace of bamboo.” I loved my stay at Ensuenos and really hope to return again next year. It’s not for everyone but that’s what makes it special!
