I had the most beautiful time ,it was a camp where we went with our students ,tge staff here were exceptional.Tgey took great care of us including several dietary restrictions. The rooms are beautiful especially the bathroom. The place is well maintained and renovated and has a rustic charm ,with a private beach and pool overlooking the beach. The Sunsets here are unmatched.

The External Ambience of the Resort (Dense Greenery Everywhere and being Right Near the Sea/Beach) is really nice, as you get the feeling of being Secluded and being Part of Nature. The ACTUAL Property (Rooms and Buildings) need to be upgraded and constantly maintained as they are TOO RICKETY (get the impression that the Resort has been Run Down). The Rooms are Very Plain and Simple (don’t feel welcoming) and the Quality of the Resort in General does not TALLY with what is charged for it (nearly 7,000 baht for 1 night…Total Overkill) ! We DID like the Semi-Outdoor Bath/Shower. The Air-Conditioner in the room was Efficient but Super Loud and Noisy. Using the Overhead Fan didn’t help either, as it only rotated at 1 Set Speed and was so Noisy as Well (clunky sounds every couple of seconds). Our Pet Peeve is Cleanliness (Light Switches in our Room were Dirty and had Grime on them). We had to clean those ourselves as well as a few other areas in the Room with Sanitiser/Wet-Wipes. The view from the Rooms/Cabins (especially our Sea View one) was super. The Beach is quite nice too. Breakfast…was a Buffet and Nothing to Write Home About (1 of the most boring Buffets we have had anywhere) ! In general we also found most of the Staff to be Grumpy and Unfriendly (apart from 1 or 2). All in All, it is an ‘Okay Resort’, but NOT somewhere where we would stay again !

We were here for a gala dinner with a huge group of people. The place is lovely, with beautiful landscapes all across the property. The dining area by the water has various options - beach, pool, parapet walls et al. The food was delicious, and the service was good.

Be warned!!!!Completely run down property which has seen better days. Everything except inside the huts are run down or in disrepair. Most of the resort is made of wood including the roof and almost the whole thing is rotten or worn out. Swimming pool is good but no safety warning though it is quite deep at one end and no one around to supervise. Very close to beach but beach itself is hardly good as it ends few hundred meters both ways and many places rocky. There are hardly any guests- understandably. I was sitting on a rocking chair and it broke and I landed on the floor! We paid 50000 THB for 4 days which is 4 times more than what we paid for a suit room in Evergreen Hotel (5*) in Bangkok with breakfast. Even the neighbourhood is equally run down. So if you are looking for a happy holidays, avoid this place!

Cool and pleasant forestry atmosphere. Each cottage situates under shade of trees. Expected bugs and mosquito but was disturbed by none. Room was clean. Outdoor shower was nice with small gardening. Pool water could be more clean tho.

Around 9pm the burning smell starts outside and lasts all night. Smells like they are burning all their rubbish - plastics, leafs and rubbish collected off the beach. Can’t sleep without headache. No respect for your health or the environment.

Because of a special request i tried to contact the hotel directly. Even after 3 tries (two different e-mail-address and request form on the site) i didn't get an answer. Obviously the hotel is not interested in customers. With that attitude i assume the rest of the service at the hotel will be also bad!

Restaurant is to avoided at all cost.... Fish was like baked shoe leather, prawns not fresh, crab was ok but very small. Definitely didnt justify the price they charge. We were the only customers and in hindsight we should have known better and run away.

We had a good time and enjoyed our stay at the Sunset Park but there were a few downsides: The bungalows (we had a "sea breeze" bungalow) are old and really need some maintenance. In our bungalow even the toilet was outside. Not such a great idea when it rains...the little, way too short roof, doesn't help. The beds are not really comfortable and the wood of the bungalows makes noises because it's that old. Two out of three mornings there was no breakfast buffet, only ordering from the menu. That's ok, but we would have preferred the buffet. The people were very friendly and helpful. You probably need a car if you want to eat outside or go and do some sightseeing. The price of the restaurant is pretty high for thai standards we thought. We paid over 3'300 baht for 4 adults and 2 kids (without having wine, and only one meal was a "foreign" meal with pork meat, the others had thai food). Food was good. The beach was not crowded and well cleaned, but there are many stones in the water. It's a great place to relax, it was so quiet that we only heard the wind and the sound of the ocean. That was fantastic. The hotel is surrounded by almost a jungle or at least a lot of trees and nature. So expect a lot of animals. We even saw a big snake, about 1.5-2 meters. But we were not sure what type of snake. At the end of the day we can recommend the hotel if you want to relax, don't mind the high price and you are not afraid of animals.
