The City Trat Hotel is very nice and I really don’t know why they have only 2.5 stars 🤔
They have a nice swimming pool and a small gym. The breakfast was also good. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The Hapa restaurant is located 100 meter far away and offering delicious food which can be delivered to the hotel as well. We can also recommend the Wara massage near the hotel!!
City Trat Hotel excellent value for money

This hotel is, as its name suggests, located in the heart of Trat city. Our room was clean and everything looked new. Breakfast was also good. There were a lot of informations about attractions and many community-based tourism (which is very interesting) in Trat province. If you are interested in CBT, you can ask hotel staffs at the lobby for further detail. Overall, we had a good experience here. Recommend!

Very nice place to stay, only one foreign channel on the TV but no problem really. Breakfast was great if you stay here and can't see it just ask and they will make it for you. Would definitely stay here again as I say nothing to complain about at all. Lovely staff, clean and all good

We were only staying one night so weren’t expecting much. We were extremely surprised at the hotel and room. It was clean, comfortable and no Thai style concrete bed.
The bed was amazing to sleep in which made for a great nights sleep.

Breakfast was ok, we have had a lot better and a lot worse so it was on par.

If we were ever back this way again I would be staying here. There is a restaurant next door which has great food and there was love music (Friday night)

Check in with passport, vaccine certificate and payment. Reception staff helpful. They were able to book my boat ticket to Koh Kood and taxi to the pier. Everything was clean and well maintained.
Comfortable looking room, everything worked just fine.
The breakfast buffet was adequate. One can only laugh at how paranoid the government has made the people over wearing the mask while the rest of the world gets on with life.
Unfortunately, I did not have a good night'ssleep, no thanks to many Thai guests slamming doors and talking loudly in the hallway from well before my wake up time. I was even woken up for a third time by three Thai women knocking on my door. They had the wrong room but no courtesy of an apology forthcoming for disturbing my sleep.
Just be aware that Trat city is really spread out in area. Google Maps seems to show no matter where you are you need your own transport or rely on taxis.

Great stay in the heart of Trat city. My room was very well kept and the bed was comfy, although a bit too narrow. The Wifi was indeed excellent and the in-room facility had nothing to complaint on. The best feature of this hotel was without doubt, the excellent breakfast offered every morning. The choice was more than I expected and it was all you can eat style. Recommended!

Rooms are clean. Thus far the possitives. Breakfast is basic, cold eggs and little choice. The swimming pool looks 5 times bigger on photo then in reality, opens at 10am and also seems to function as the municipal "pool". Worst of all though is the chickenfarm surrounding the hotel. Roosteralarm starts at about 4 am, not to mention the barking dogs. When I asked if we could change rooms to the other side of the hotel, i was told we were on the good side, and the other one was worse... sorry, sorry. I guess i can say the same for this review.... sorry sorry but you will not see us again.

A nice and new hotel in Trat. Even if there is just one person speaking english (her name's Pass), the staff is extremely friendly and smiling. Our room (313) was spacious, nice and simply furnished. There was a mini-bar and a flat TV. One good thing : the water pressure is really good :) The hotel is really clean, the house maids are doing a great job there. Close to the hotel, you will find a Tesco Lotus (department store 8:00-22:00). If you're looking for a place to stay before taking the ferry to Koh Chang/Mak/Kut or the bus to another city, this is the hotel for you! A sport centre is currently being built, with a swimming pool. There are no taxi/bus in the city but the staff can arrange transportation for you. If I come back to Trat, I'll definitely book a room there.

We decided to break our journey to the island of Koh Mak with an overnight stop in Trat. Flying from Bangkok to Trat Airport is only an hour, although Trat Airport itself is quite away from anywhere. So we arranged with the hotel for them to send a car and pick us up. It was a bit pricey at 800 b. But we thought it was worth paying for Peace of mind. If your flying to Trat I would advise some thought about your onward journey before you get there as there’s not much there. There is a Taxi / limousine company at the airport but they seemed to be organising Minibuses to Koh Chang.

Trat City Hotel is clean and tidy. The room was a little on the small side, but adequate for our needs. The view from our small balcony wasn’t great, overlooking some garages. Breakfast was buffet style with a kind of Thai / continental cuisine. The staff were helpful, and spoke a little English and were very happy to order us a taxi to Leam Ngop Pier the next morning.

I would especially recommend the Hapa Bar and Restaurant next door, where we went for our Evening meal. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced.

If you want a one night place to stop I would definitely recommend. But if you’re thinking of stopping longer you might want to look for something with a bit more.

I stayed only for one night as it was a shirt visit. Generally it's a nice hotel. Rooms are clean and decent. Although small in size.
One thing I noticed that they don't have the soap at the sink in bathroom.
They just have plastic wall mounted soap and shampoo dispensers inside the shower room which is not very nice.
They shall take care of this situation.
