I only tried the water sport hub at the resort, was staying in a different hotel. The overall experience was unsatisfactory, the staff of the water sport center were unprofessional and utterly rude with overpriced activities. I paid 35$ for a 15 minute ride on the jet ski, all I got is less than 10 minutes of it, the staff claimed I stretched more than 15 minutes. I tried to contact management in order to sort such behavior, no response came. For water sporting activities, I recommend to go some where else.
We went to Laluna Ayurveda Resort for Ayurveda. The so-called doctor explained in a messy way about massage. The message he wanted to deliver was the treatment costs 69 EUR for each person. As per brochure, the treatment should be 100 minutes including face, head, body, foot, acupunture, steam bath at the price 59 USD. In reality, only about 5 min head massage, 20 min body massage, 10 min foot massage . The rooms were musty, not clean. The mosquitos were flying around and biting us here and there. The lady masseurs asked us to take off the clothes. And then they went out, probably to chat with each other, left the doors open while we were lying naked. It was more than disgusting. After around 30 minutes of lousy massage, the ladies told us: "finished." As we asked to take a shower, they showed us a toilet with a shower faucet. The so-called bathroom looks shabby, dirty. No shampoo, no fresh towels... We had a few ayurveda treatments in Sri Lanka before and did enjoy them. But this one in Laluna resort is really a nightmare. It is the worst service ever, unfriendly staff in particular the doctor and the cashier. It was really lost money.…
Beautiful place, gentle people, excellent food - this is a reason why we spend few days in Laluna Resort - thank you again. We are going to visit you again and ask our friends do the same. Monika from Poland
They took far more from us for water sports than what we paid at other places and gave us the worst service ever after lying to us about giving us 2 hour in water and effectively giving some 10 , 15 minutes . They took more from us (and i think they do this with foreigners and especially couples who they think would spend more money ) than they did from another group who came with us. Never visiting this place again
The place is disgusting. They use oil that stinks for hours as there was no shower facility. The masseur was nice, worked hard doing great massage. No AC in the room and you get bitten by mosquitoes all over. Just fake and cheating place. I used just spa there deceived by local taxi driver who probably gets paid by this miserable facility and brings silly tourists like myself. NEVER, EVER again.
Spent a month over Christmas and new year at this hotel and had a fantastic time great food wonderful hospitality and the staff were really helpful. I unexpectedly got married whilst there and we had our reception at the hotel they took care of everything and we didn’t need to worry it was a fabulous night with all the details taken care of I would recommend this place to anyone for a short or longer break. The water sports are really great and staff helpful well priced and good fun
La Luna Ayurvedic Resort provided us with the best facilities during our short trip to Sri Lanka. The bookings has been managed by my travel planner, and this may be one of the few resorts/hotels which confirmed to all promised commitments. Our stay was only for a night and three day hours, but it was very well comfortable. The room provided was really big, and had all the basic comforts in place. There was a working Cable Television which had many local & international channels available, and there was also Wi-Fi connectivity in the room. Neat and clean toilet & wash room, with all the toiletries in place. The room did not have an intercom facility but there was a call bell to summon the staff. The room offered to us had a good balcony, with a small one which could be used as a dining area and another bigger one which was more suited for sun bathing. Though partially covered by trees, we could get a good view of a river flowing on the side of the resort. As a complimentary service, the resort provides a short motor boat ride. It could be a short cruise on the river or a quick drop to a beach near by. We opted for the ride to the beach. The beach was one of the cleanest ones we have ever seen, and my kid had a very good time enjoying the seas.…
Snorkeling, jetski, banana ride, tube ride and kayak is available. Enthusiast can go for deep sea diving at reasonable price. Lahiru the team leader and his team were very helpful and jovial. To fully enjoy your stay, one should start early to avoid afternoon sun. Rooms are big, clean & spacious. Overall a very satisfying experience.
Had a nice stay in the resort, warm and helpful staff. Amazing water sports facilities. We did snorkeling, jet ski, kayaking, banana ride, tube ride in a package at reasonable prices. Serene view around the hotel, rooms are spacious and clean.
From the moment we came to the hotel, all the employees were really helpful and did all we asked with a smile on their face. We had a language barrier but they were patient enough to give us time to explain ourselves. We enjoyed our stay.
