My wife and I booked Norwood Bungalow for a short break amidst a hectic trip visiting family in Sri Lanka and it exceeded our expectations. We have travelled a lot and tea trails is one of our favs. The clean crisp air and the beautiful views of the tea estates made the location worth the 4.5 hour drive from Colombo....

The two-night visit at TienTsin was intimately luxurious and we were spoiled, pampered and cared for by our own accommodating butlers. The meals and tea times were artfully crafted and delicious and the terraced gardens and T-2 trail that encircled the tea plantation afforded us with photo ops of brightly clothed tea pluckers and endless photogenic views of the hillside...

With the press of a button near the door of our room, a butler appeared within seconds to fulfill our small request. Yes, we spent two wonderful nights in the Irvine Suite at the Norwood Bungalow. What can we say?!? This all-inclusive stay was perfect after bouncing along Sri Lankan roads for about a week. Four lovely meals (including High...

A warm thank you to Sue and to the many others who have been kind enough to post reviews of Tea Trails. We are delighted to read each one, which we respond to via private message, but refrain from responding publicly to avoid cluttering the page for those planning future visits. We do receive the occasional brickbat as well, which...

Tea trails was our third resort in our 14 day trip in Sri-Lanka. We stayed here for 3 nights/4 days at the Summerville Bungalow. It was glorious! What an amazing amazing place. You have the most stunning views of the lake in this property - very very cool! And at the front, you're surrounded by rolling tea plantations. Simply divine....

Words cannot do justice to the amazing 2 days we've spent at the Norwood bungalow (21st-23rd August). From the moment we arrived, the entire staff were incredibly attentive, friendly and helpful. I couldn't possibly single anybody out as everyone was perfect. Our room (Wyatt) was beautiful and spacious and I would highly recommend booking this room - we definitely will...

We stayed at Tea Trails for a couple of nights following our wedding in Galle. Our first night was spent in the Tientsin Bungalow which was beautiful, very secluded and green! This area is so different to that of Galle, the temperature a little chilly and a slower pace of life- just what we needed after a hectic week with...

This has got to be one of my most memorable trips. The views are spectacular. The castlereagh bungalow overlooks the lake and at the backdrop, hills of tea plantations. We stayed at the Palmer room and couldn't ask for more:) we had a lovely view of the garden and the room had a bright cheery feel. Loved the breakfast and...

We stayed stayed in the Tate suite at Castlereigh for 3 nights/4 days. Overall a fantastic experience/holiday/break which we would gladly repeat and recommend to others. Virtually everything was perfect so the following comments are really just constructive criticism to the management so they can get a 6th star :-) 1 - the fireplaces/chimneys need to be cleaned in the...

My 15 yo son and I stayed in the Castlereagh bungalow for 2 nights of absolute luxury after 10 days volunteer work on community projects around southern Sri Lanka. We had the Jamieson suite, absolutely gorgeous. We felt like royalty, it was so special. Splendid...like stepping back in time. A walk each afternoon along the local walking trails thru the...

What a place. Winding through the hill side roads, surrounded by tea plantations as far as the eye can see one quickly gets a sense of how important this commodity is to this small island. Despite the bumpy 4 hr drive from the Wallawwa Hotel near Colombo (a brilliant hotel and perfect to break the poor flight times up), it...
