Situated approx. 2.5 km southeast of Kalawana (Sabaragamuwa Province) in the outskirts of SInharaja rain-forest, Boulder Garden Hotel gives an unique experience of close to living in a cave in the jungle. Perfect hideout for those who desperately look for a break; tired living in concrete jungle. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Spacious but dark room(can't complain though...

I really have a hard time rating this place. I think maybe 3.5 stars is more appropriate. After reading all of the reviews I have to admit that I had very low expectations of this place. I was the only guest the night I stayed. Staff was very attentive and they provided a "special" full course meal for me at...

Whow, we loved the Boulder Garden hotel. It is a beautifully located hotel, in the middle of a forest, built around rocks. Truly a magical place. We read some of the more critical reviews before we came to the hotel and were a bit hesitant, but the hotel has won us over! The main reason is that there are some...

We have read previous reviews and struggle to support many of the negative findings. From the moment we arrived we found the architecture amazing, the staff friendly and very attentive. The pool was inviting, the room spacious, clean and attractive. The dining area was unique and stunning. So tranquil, so close to the rainforest and wild life, the western style...

Had a visit to this hotel for a change as most our holidays end up in beaches. So take a chance to visit this property near Sinharaja Rain Forest. Got a deal price LKR 20k as of the staff I reserved with as the listing price cost around LKR 26k. This price is premium when compared to the services provide...

We were very lucky to be taken here for a simple lunch only, which was probably the best way to experience this wonderful hideout without suffering the terrifying pitfalls of the hotel: dingy, dark rooms with no AC, few windows, rusty chairs, dirty pool and stairways overtaken by overgrown weeds. And like everywhere else in Sri Lanka, travellers "enjoy" an...

We loved our 2 nights here. The architecture is really interesting & the staff, in particular Eduard, are helpful & work really hard to give you a great experience. The pool does have a slightly green tinge but the spring water felt good to swim in. The shuttered glass-free rooms reminded us of old houses we've stayed at in the...

We had an amazing time at Boulder Garden Hotel. The staff, lead by Ananda were very supportive and made sure we were very well taken care of. The food was simple but well done. The location was excellent and the rooms were well maintained. Our rooms were decorated with native flowers. Was a truly memorable holiday.

Sorry I hate to do this , but I don't want anyone to go through what my husband and I did . We did not enjoy our stay at all , thank goodness it was only for 1 night . The sheets on the bed were so damp and the smell in the room was awful and there was ants...
