The whole setting is quite surreal like tents in the jungle with AC, hot water on tap with incredible rain showers and a private plunge pool overlooking the jungle. You can taste the love in the cooking with each meal be it sandwich service in the jungle or a heavy Sri Lanka meal back at the camp. The meal service inside the jungle was above the level of a'star class' hotel. One would think these tick the boxes for a 'bucket list' experience right... Actually what sets these guys apart from all the other glamping, camping or just safari experiences is the level of passion spread across the entire team. From Thushara who keeps perfect speed in the jungle enabling us to spot many special moments to Siri's food that tastes like Grandma's specialities and Arron the modern day Mowgli. Aaron has a knowledge of a Guru and shares it openly with passion be it about the soil, any vegetation in the jungle, all animals from the smallest insect to the largest mammal and even clouds and stars. I am in awe of the knowledge and passion that Arron has and shares. This is the ultimate and wholesome experience of Sri Lankan wilds that I have had thereby making it a 'bucket list' must have experience for anybody who loves nature.

Bordering the Yala National Park , the 60+ acres campsite, which once was a farm, is in a Buffer zone with its own borehole and powered solely by solar panels. Promoting sustainable tourism and slowly reverting the area back to nature.Delicious freshly cooked food, waiting staff are always on hand to see to your needs. We saw leopards on every game drive, sometimes 2 or 3 leopards in 1 drive !! We also have a chance encounter with a pair of Golden Jackals, saw Spotted deer/bucks sparing/fighting. Above us, Brahmy kites soar on thermals while looking for food. Not forgetting the ellies!! We saw lots of them, including a bull in musth chasing a female around a pond. A huge one making sure we understand who is king and that it was his right to use the road and forcing us to reverse till he get to the fork in the road that will take him to where he is heading.. What an amazing experience. Also the sloth bears - watching them enjoying their palu fruits to following one as he sauntered slowly along on his own. Indi with his vast experiences and patience is a great tracker and can predict an animal’s next moves which means he know exactly where to place their land cruiser to get the best sighting/pictures without startling the animal. He is also a great photographer and able to advises as well as. With a reputable team like Ceylon Wild Safaris, where the owners who are highly experienced guides, but more than that they all had a vocation and passion which extended to the preservation and protection of the biodiversity of this beautiful country, you will have an amazing visit. Indika, Arran, Arshad and those behind the scenes, we wish you all every success. Keep up the good work, guys. We will definitely be back maybe to Wilpattu National Park where Ceylon Wild Safaris is planing to have a site .

Stayed there with my friends over the weekend and was treated to some fabulous sightings of Wildlife during the safaris we did them. Having a real craze over leopards, I set out on the jeep drives and was not disappointed at all in the hands of real professionals like Indika, Arran,Dinal,Arshad & Co. I was very impressed by the way they tracked the leopards apart from other animals in Yala and was treated to some awesome sightings of the apex predators of the Sri Lankan Jungles. The accommodation too was top notch, with spacious clean rooms, comfy beds and amenities. The highlight is each tented accommodation comes with a plunge pool where you can just relax after a hot day in the Yala National Park. You also never know what wildlife you will come across in the camp as well which makes it so much more exciting ! The food was excellent as well and the friendly service we received by the staff was very commendable, the evening under the stars with a campfire was the icing on the cake to cap things off. Cannot wait to head go back to Ceylon wild safaris and the Leopards and wildlife I crave so much !

Being a wildlife lover, iv stayed at many places in and around Yala national park throughout the years. However the stay at Ceylon Wild Safaris is undoubtedly one of my favorite! The meals (just the thought of the meals still make my mouth water), the luxury tent with a plunge pool and the hospitality of the entire team is second to none! I must add, Arran and Indika are two of the most knowledgeable and experienced game rangers i have come across. Its never a dull moment with them. Yes all this is great, but what really sets Ceylon Wild Safaris apart from the rest is their absolute passion and focus on ethical game drives, and conservation efforts. The 100% solar powered camp and reforestation project are just two of many initiatives towards sustainability. Thank you Ceylon Wild Safaris for an amazing experience! Im already counting days till i will be back with you guys!

We arrived later than expected but Aarran and his team were extremely accommodating and had made all the arrangements for us to be picked up and driven to camp. The location is absolutely stunning and is surrounded by wildlife. Aaran is a trained ranger who has a bundle of experience and would not hesitate to answer any questions or educate you on the abundance of wildlife that is surrounding you. We found this to be a refreshing change from some of the other safari experiences that we have had. We left with a wealth of knowledge and that honestly made us value the experience more than anything else. The rooms were exceptionally clean and very well maintained. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff. Even though it is a small team Ashoka and Siri exceeded our expectations on every front. The plunge pool was kept clean and is situated in an extremely relaxing setting. It is also both private and surrounded by nature. This proved to be a great addition and made the experience far more relaxing. The food was magnificent. It was mostly simple traditional Sri Lankan meals but you can tell that they were cooked with precision and attention to detail. There wasn't a single meal we didn't enjoy. They would also cater to the little things like refreshing towels and cool drinks when we returned from game rides. The game rides were extremely informative. It was more of a wilderness experience than a mere safari ride. Arran was able to share stories and educate us every step of the way. He planned out an incredible two days for us, taking into account our preferences, fatigue and past experiences. We were lucky to see some big game like leopards and elephants but we would have valued the experience regardless. All in all, It was the best of both worlds. We were extremely comfortable. We had all the luxuries we wanted, yet were surrounded by wildlife and beautiful scenery. We left feeling well rested, with a new found love and respect for the Sri Lankan wilderness, as well as cameras full of beautiful pictures. We would recommend Ceylon Wild Safaris to anyone who enjoys wildlife and would 100% visit again.
