Dont get fooled by the reviews. It was a nightmarish experience- tiny tent, very basic amenities. We went in mid April so it was very hot and stuffy. No extra fans provided..we suffered in the hot and humid weather. The actual tent pics are not what is posted in the website. Food - again basic and no second helpings of the fish and chicken were available Packef breakfast was 3 bread slices with 4 drops of dry coconut chutney, and a banana. No signages in the property so getting around in the night was a huge problem. Safari- driver seated in the ac compartment no naturalist or guide provided. So u have to do your own sightings. Apart from peacocks birds hare and deer we saw nothing. If there was a guide it would be helpful identifying the birds and better sightings. Overall a nightmare- pl avoid this place

We let our tour agent book our accommodation so when we saw we had a premium tent and saw the web pictures we were excited. On arrival it was a disaster. The tent had three small camp beds and a curtained shower room which was dirty and the tent stank of Urine. We asked what had happened as we went back online and saw the tents which we thought we were having and they were available. Promised to upgrade next day but after a gruelling 13 hour safari we were told it was not possible to move us. As my son it 6feet 3 and I am the same but 18 stone we did not sleep properly for the two nights. When we did sleep we were woken by the smell of Urine. The bathroom pipes ran out into the bushes. The most disgusting accommodation I have ever seen

This is a nice place but the pics on here they posted didn't really look anything like the tent we got. Overall, I had a good experience though. First the good stuff. The staff were great and friendly, and the food was good. The vibe at dinner was fun. The game drives were outstanding and we saw all the animals. On the negative side of things, our tent didn't look like the pics they posted on here. During the drives, our guide was just talking to the people in the front and the people in the back couldn't hear what he was saying. They don't have drinks or snacks on the drives. Not a big deal but it was super hot when we went and cold drinks would have been welcomed, especially for what we paid. It would be a nice touch to have a welcome drink when you arrive and come back from game drives. Also, when it's hot, the little fans in your rooms don't offer much relief and there isn't really a way to cool off. Also, there isn't a sign to get to the camp from the main road, so our Uber driver got lost. They should add a sign so it's clear where they are located.

We had good fun.... stayed in the tents for a day and had a half day safari trip. So here is our take 1. The tents are awesome. Clean and well equipped. 2. We had a lovely driver and as we paid for a half day guide, it was well worth it as he helped us spot wild.life and identify it 3. Staff are so caring, felt like home away from home. Special mention for Travis, as a leader at site he kept all of what we needed and took exceptional care with his team and when required he himself chipped in 4. Food is yummy... and abso healthy. Never experienced the combo of healthy and tasty recipes that Mahoora had HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR FAMILIES AND COUPLES, SPEND A NIGHT AND FULL DAY SAFARI OR IF PRESSED FOR TIME, AT LEAST HALF A DAY Really awesome experience Cheers to Travis, and his team 🥂 🍾

We went to this lovely place for a night and had amazing experience. Tent was very amazing and authentic and dinner was so cozy. The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful. Our luggage had got lost days ago and we had so much help from Travis even after we left the place he kept calling to the airport to find our where the luggage is. We wouldve not gotten the luggage without his help. It was priceless, forever thankful for him!

Highly recommend this place. The gentlemen who work here went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Particular thanks to Travis in management - he was so professional and kind. The Tarindu, our game tour guide, was very knowledgeable. And Joseph, our waiter, was very helpful during our dining experiences. My husband thoroughly enjoyed playing cricket with some of the staff and other guests on the first evening. The tents were spacious and comfortable and the surroundings peaceful and relaxing. We had a very special and memorable experience. Thank you.

We had a lovel time during our Glamping Safari at Mahoora Yala, despite the mixed reviews we read. When we arrived, the staff welcomed us and the ambiance of the camp was pleasent. The tent was decorated giving a cozy vibe, complete with an attached bathroom, quickly became our home away from home, in the wild. Though the climate was a little gloomy during the safari we still managed to see a variety of birds, reptiles, and animals. The food was ample and they did cater according to our taste buds. Overall we enjoyed our experience and it was nothing short of lovely memories.

We had a wonderful stay at Mahoora By Eco team Yala. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the dining experience was delightful! Our safari was thrilling, and we even had the chance to spot leopards. The experience of sleeping in the heart of nature, beside the national park, and hearing the nearby wildlife was truly unforgettable. However, there is room for improvement in the meals; we believe they could be more delicious.

Food was good however you couldn’t see what you were eating due to only 2 candles for 5 people. The tents were damp, showers didn’t work properly and occasional smell of sewage. Lots of mosquitoes. Staff were very friendly however but was hard to get them in the evenings. Only stayed two nights but that was one too many. As for the safari, it was a 6 hour trip which resulted in us seeing less animals than on our drive into Yala. Seriously recommend you avoid this campsite.

Dear Conpad246, We value your feedback and apologize for any inconvenience caused during your stay. We are happy that you have appreciated our food and the staff. Our team strives to ensure comfort despite challenging weather conditions. Clear communications during your stay would have allowed us to address specific issues promptly. We are actively working to improve tent conditions, and other concerns mentioned. We deliberately keep the tent and open-air dinner lighting low so as not to attract insects into the tent. Wildlife sightings during safaris can vary due to many factors, but we regret any disappointment. Your feedback is important to us, and it will be shared with the team. It is through insights such as yours that we can continuously strive for improvement. Once again, thank you for choosing us, and we hope you have a wonderful New Year! With best regards,
