Brilliant second and final stop of our honeymoon trip. Roshan and his team had gone our of their way to make it special and we really appreciate everything that they did - especially the surprise sunset cocktails on a clifftop overlooking the ocean. The property itself, the room, service and food were great right throughout and we can't wait to visit again soon. Special thanks to Shehan who looked after us so well, and also Lahiru, Sanka and Dimuthu for the great service :)

I and my brother spent a weekend at Cape Weligama and we both were super thrilled by the beautiful property and the heartwarming hospitality of the staff. As discussed prior to our arrival everything was in order and we reserved to stay in the Fa Xhien suite which was a home away from home with all needed amenities and luxuries available at your finger tip. The private pool was secluded and was an ideal spot to chill in the evening and to have a morning dip before breakfast. We really liked the infinity “moon pool” as well specially in the evenings to be mesmerised by the colourful skies and therapeutically enjoy the waves and the sea. Selection of wines and beverages should be commended and the food they served was mind blowing. Hotel also took proper precautions as per the government standards to avoid any potential spread of covid19 virus and measures were taken to reduce the staff - guest contact as well. Both of really enjoyed walking around the property and exploring all the cliff hangout points and sanding through out the night by connecting to the in-room speakers while sipping some mean cocktails! I highly recommend this property and I’ll be visiting here very soon.

Went to enjoy some peace and quiet and solitude and Cape Weligama delivered. So very peaceful, restful. The villas are so well laid out and has everything you require for a rest ful holiday away from everybody.I stayed at the Ocean Villa which is large and well appointed with a steam room and rain shower.I hardly heard or saw the rest of the guests. the meals were very good and well presented. The restaurants have an amazing view of the ocean. The staff are extremely obliging, discreet and pleasant.Jagath of housekeeping was very efficient.Shehan made sure I was comfortable and Kenny had excellent PR.Ali from the spa gave an excellent foot massage. I also was visited daily by a calm and well mannered pea hen and a monitor lizard. So many birds ,dragon flies, butterflies. Shehan was kind enough to organise a birthday cake as a surprise..much appreciated. All in all Cape Weligama delivered beyond expectations.

This is a little piece of heaven. I’ve heard good things about it from locals and was always curious if it’s worth the price. Our stay answered my questions. We stayed at premier ocean villa which sits in the mid range of the villa/suite combination. The villa at 180m provides more than enough space for a couple or even a young family to rest and unwind with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating/lounging furniture. Huge bathroom complemented with a steam room/rain shower makes for airy and relaxing indoor time. The view across the well curated tree line of the Indian Ocean is worth a few million snaps. The pools are semi private except for the main moon pool so there is enough privacy to go around for everyone. The kitchen was larger than life. Head chef Vinool constantly engaging us and trying to figure out what he could do better as the holiday progresses, at first we were hesitant to give feedback or even be demanding but we caught on with the program and he made sure we had everything we wanted to experience and more. Hands down the best culinary experience and we did a fair bit of villa/5 star travels in the last three months in Sri Lanka. The food was tasty, ingredients were of high quality and quantities were just right. The cape sits on top of the hill and I’d recommend an all inclusive/FB experience here vs going a la carte as it’s not an easy walk to any place for eating and the food is just too good to have missed a meal at the hotel. Can’t wait to try the sister properties at tea trails and wild coasted tent lodge but that’s going to have to wait till my next visit to Sri Lanka.
