The staff (Judy) was really helpful and quick to respond. As first timers in Pyeongchang I had a lot of questions and she was so patient to explain what's available, how to go about etc. The resort is out of the way from town so the only food available is from the resort

Yes it is the same hotel. As far I concern the peak season would be end of dec till feb and the temperature on dec normally below zero. Last time when I went there, the temperature around -5DegC and its snowing at night. You shall bring a proper outfit.

From Incheon Airport, you can buy bus tickets(20,000 won) at 9C (located on the 1st Floor) to Pyeongchang Highway Rest Area, then taxi to the Elf Pension(30,000 won). I guess this would be the least hassle way to get there. You better go to their website for more information and to check out other options. P.S. Make sure you call the hotel to arrange a taxi for you at Pyeongchang Highway Rest Area.

They have a convenient store onsite which you can buy ramen n some instant food as well as cans. Sometimes we cook n eat in our suites and the kids loved it. Many restaurants in town, short taxi ride away. You can ask for recommendation from the pension counter. They will ask for your preference, make reservation n order a taxi for you. The few restaurants they recommend were all very good.
