Great location between the drop-off area and the summit with (if you can get the right room) breath-taking views over the valley and up to Golden Rock. BUT ... this was the worst value for money place I stayed in the whole of my 23 day trip to Myanmar. My so called deluxe room was very dirty, with very run-down,...

The location is perfect, the rooms simple but clean, the view from the terrasse is beautiful, the breakfast simple with Myanmar dishes, the price for the dinner bufet is high at 20.000 Kyat per Person, you can eat for much less next door at The mountain view restaurant

If there were an award for the most awful meal in all of Myanmar, then surely the buffet at the hotel must be a hands-down winner. It's just simply the worst. Food has clearly been recycled from the previous night (and possibly leftovers from other guests) and it was a miracle it didn't make us sick. At 20,000 kyat per...

After reading the TA reviews I was not happy when our tour agent booked us into this hotel as my other choice was full but have to say the room was not so bad (the breakfast is another story). The location on the mountain top is good. Check-in was easy. Our room 2020 was the upper corner room on the...

Stayed one night in the terraced chalet style accommodation provided in the grounds of the hotel, just off the main route up from the truck stop to the entrance to the territory of the golden rock. My room was pretty basic but clean and perfectly adequate for a short stay. A kettle was available in the room with a jar...

This place is overpriced, but then all hotels up there are. Staying overnight is a must though as one really has to see Golden Rock and sunset and sunrise! Apart from the bed linen everything needs a deep clean. Breakfast was a hot, oily food gone cold buffet eaten on dirty tables. I imagine 99% of their guests stay one...

We stayed here so that we could relax and enjoy the Golden Rock at sunset and it was worth it. However the hotel was pretty poor. For £75 we had a superior bungalow but was just about passable for a backpackers hostel. The beds were fine and it was reasonably clean but definately not worth the money. Very basic bathroom,...

We stayed in this hotel after a visit to the Golden Rock at Kyakhtiyo. Bed was okay, towels and linen were pretty thin, the bathroom was basic and the walls were extremely thin so we were kept awake by both other guests and those heading up for the sunset. Unfortunately we chose the buffet dinner, it was cold and pretty...

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. Our room was very basic but beds were comfortable. Bathroom was simple and wore out. Towels were thin and hard. There is not much space for hanging clothes. Breakfast was simple but efficient. Dinner was good and price was reasonable. Staffs were friendly. Note: It is about 5 min walking distance from...

This was not the hotel I was originally expecting to stay in as they overbooked so I was not sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are quite sparse, but very clean - especially the bathroom, it was sparkling white. The Hotel is split over both sides of the road and I was on the other side...
