It is a good place to stay when you go to Ngapali. The price for deluxe room per night was $ 150. Room decorations were attractive but bath room door was a bit cranky. The beach is fantastic. Everything at the hotel is much more expensive than shops around. One good thing is having fair price restaurants and shops just... More

It is a great hotel, I am just grateful that I could be here. Simply perfect and beautiful. Rooms are fantastic, pool is clean and coloured by lights in the evening. The beach is clean with white sand, the sea is blue and there are palm trees overall. Attached you can find some photos about the Burmese paradise.... Enjoy the... More

I went to Ngapali when I saw the first hotel discount add from Amata Hotel, not that cheap but 85$ per night, however consider cheap for Ngapali beach where average price during peak season is like 150$ per night. However a week later I found out that the other better hotels are promoting their rooms at the same price. So... More

I won a lucky draw from the Hotel Facebook page which allows me to stay two nights free. They put me in Deluxe room. Deluxe rooms are two stories building so I picked the top room because it provides better privacy. Staffs are attentive and friendly. Breakfast includes both local and continental with lots of options to choose. There are... More

We stayed 2 nights at room 401 and my friend stayed room 403. Room location and facilities are really good and services is also good. Breakfast buffet is great. 3 or 4 restaurants and beer station are located at opposite side of the Amata main gate (3 mins walk) and you can also get lunch and dinner with budget plan.... More

Amata is one of the best resorts in Ngapali. We love their location and resort design as well. Food are not bad. Bakery is awesome but don't try on their local food. We gave 7/10 rating in bakery and local food is 3/10. Their local food is horrible. Grill also good and must try. A lot of local food restaurants... More

We had 4 nights here at the end of a tour and it was the perfect place to relax and do nothing! We had a seaview ground floor cottage - about 50 ft from the beach - perfect. This is like how Thailand used to be - a few really lovely hotels on the beach and just some shacky type... More

CONS So many mosquitoes - perhaps mosquito coils , electric zappers or providing bug spray per room will help. A few repairs and fresh coats of paint might help in the total look of the room interiors. Lack of local Burmese food choices during the breakfast buffet. The AC did not really cool down the room - maybe because it... More

Plus points: Nice located next to the sea and beach. Very friendly and attentive staff in restaurant, bar and housekeeping. The free pick up shuttle service. Breakfast was good with western and local choices. Nice bar, pool and restaurant area. Happy hour in the afternoon. Its a very nice hotel in general. Gardens are well maintained. We stayed for five days at the end of our trip and it was just what we needed. The hotel is beautifully designed, right on a white sand beach with an infinity pool and an open air terrace restaurant. The rooms are very comfortable with everything needed and good air conditioning. The breakfast is fine and we also ate in... More
