We had issues with our stay there! The proerty is very nice, location is fabulous, just in front of the river and mountains. The pool is very nice, it is so great to have a swim with the such fabuluous views! BUT: on the reception staff is very rude and unpolite. We just enter and the girls without sayng even helo, ask us to pay for the room, without even knowing which room we booked, they mass up our hotel booking, we booked rooms with the river view and they gave us rooms close to the parking and reception, which was not nice of them, when my husband tryed to talk to them, they sad if we want we take if no we can go:)):):Nice:)):):We didnt had option, because we drove from Vientiane with the mom in law which is 78 years old.Rooms are very dirty and outdated, needed renovation and deep clean. Next surprise was waiting us in the restaurant, very-very-very poor service, staff dont speak english at all, they dont understand what you want, we were waiting at list 20 minutes till somebody will come and take our order and after another 50 minutes for our food( we were 3, so all dishes arrived in different time, so we were waiting one by one), no napkins, folks, knifes with it, so we were waiting again till they bring it. staff dont really care of customers, they behave very noisy, laughing between them, eating in front of the guests( so if you need something you need to disturb them from eating). Breakfast very poor: nesface in the pack, sausages, eggs, stemed rice with vegetables, fruits, bread, butter. Restaurant is a nightmare, but the food we had for dinner was very tasty!!! This place can be much better, as a paradise place, but the management should make some efforts in training staff to some hospitality basics. With the best regards and hope, i wish i progress and succses to this place.

Our initial room had a Window that didn't close and a huge gap under the door, so they changed our room no questions asked however this room had a huge gap above the door and that was the only other room available.
We didn't get wifi at all in our room.
The room was small and the beds were sqeaky, there were a lot of ants and the staff were not helpful at all.
Free breakfast was ok.

The grounds are lovely although there is construction on either side of the hotel. The rooms are basic and the bathrooms grotty. But my biggest complaint is reserved for the restaurant staff who were uninterested and unfriendly. One woman seemed completely incapable of smiling and pretended not to see me as I tried to get her attention for pool service. Really poor.

I can be simple: DON’T go there. It is not worth the money and totally run down. The pics look great but reality is totally different. When we artived we wanted to see the rooms first before checking in, and that caused already a problem. When we saw the room we knew why! Filthy in one word.

We booked this hotel for our roundtrip because many pictures seem so nice. But those are very old pictures. The whole hotel is old, worn off and dirty. We skipped breakfast because it was awful. Room was musty and the announced river view non existent. Never again. Thought about changing hotel after one night. Avoid this hotel if possible!!

The positive things: the beautiful garden, the small pool, the river view location, good breakfast buffet.
But the rooms seem not to be maintained at all; windows were so dirty, never cleaned. Dust everywhere in the room, and, since the rooms were not tight you have everything: ants, spiders and geccos inside - sleep well :-) Everything was old and falling apart. the ventilator inside the bathroom was not working, the toillet was plugged the first day, horrible. The pool area was dangerous because of the old and broken wood. We stayed 2 days and were happy to leave again. For 30 Euros it would be tolerable, but we paid 70 per night - surly too much for what we got in a place like Vang Vieng! We stayed in Laos before in hostels which were in much better shape and cost half the price, so this is not normal, even for Laos.

Very nice place. The hotel can see river view but my room isn't close to the river. We pay this price and expect very nice room and very nice service. Our room is so narrow the decoration so old and certain so short. Bathroom bigger than our bedroom. But receptionist can't help you for anything not try to service just do follow on duty not professional.

Stayed at the Villa Vang Vieng Riverside for 3 nights in Oct '11. The rooms are small but clean and nicely styled. Our Bungalow had a plank of wood leading up to it over some rather sketchy mud but that was fine - we were just out of rainy season so realistically that was all they could do. The pool is a lovely place to spend an afternoon away from it all. Breakfast is good, taken in the restaurant right on the river over looking the bamboo bridge. The owner was a lovely Lao lady who, on our last morning made sure our minibus transfer to Vientiane was going to take us direct instead of the usual 1hr trawl around town to find more punters - she called them and was quite insistant which was hugely amusing to watch!
At $30 per night we felt very satisfied having seen some of the other accommodation in Vang Vieng. I would definitely recommend this place if you have a little more cash in your pocket than the average VV dweller.

Stayed three nights a loved this hotel. Our experience were totally opposite those who criticise this hotel. Our welcome was warm and friendly. The staff throughout the hotel were first class. We were taken to our room and given a full explanation of the room and hotel facilities. The room was spacious and looked over the pool and river. The pool area is nice to sit beside the staff brought cooled water without being asked. The breakfast was of a high standard and with a good selection.
This was great place and i would definitely stay here again

My husband and I are backpacking on a budget but occasionally treat ourselves to using a nice pool. We paid 30,000kip to use the pool all day and was well worth it. Had the place to ourselves, on site shower, free towels and delicious food and drink just a few metres away. The grounds were beautiful and would love to stay here if i ever went back to Vang Vieng
