We reached the hotel with high expectations after an enjoyable stay in Luang Prabang but boy were we disappointed . The room in itself was spacious and the bathroom had a bathtub and good layout but those were the only positives. As soon as my friend took a bath ,the bathroom started flooding due to poor drainage ,we complained to the front desk who supposedly upgraded us to a room that was smaller and cramped than our original room. And that’s where more problems began, power was out for an hour, hotel phones didn’t work, same drainage issues,AC started leaking and by the end of it we just wanted to leave the hotel. Staff especially the so called manager was not cooperative and least concerned about our problems. The only one who showed some concern was a guy called Mili.He was nice and helpful. The hotel seems eerie at night when we had to sit in the darkness. If you like dark rooms go for it. Overall very poor experience, disappointing and just not worth it for the price we paid.

After Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng was a bit of a let down. I expected more from this town probably why I was disappointed. What added to this was my stay at Inthira. Everything about the hotel seemed so nice when I had booked it online a month ago. The pictures looked great and the reviews were satisfactory too. However, my first impression of the hotel when my friend and I checked in was of a dull, dark, colorless, cold building quite similar to the front desk staff. After a cold welcome, we were directed to find our room with no offer to even cart our luggage. The room was clean, large and spacious and so was the bathroom. However, the cold, gray, dull exterior was synonymous to the room as well and it lacked the light and warmth I would expect a hotel room to have. The drainage in the bathroom led to over flooding after just one shower. There was no housekeeping available late evening which is why they offered to upgrade us to a pricier room. The “upgraded” room was much smaller and so was the bathroom. Apart from it being on a higher floor, I didn’t find any other reason why it was even called a deluxe room. Mili was probably the only staff member who made an effort to make up for all the mess. After shifting to the new room, we were in total darkness for at least an hour as the power was out. To our horror, the hotel didn’t have power back up, no emergency light and the intercom in the room never worked during our entire stay. The next morning, the air conditioner in the room was leaking and there was water dripping all over on the floor, and yet again, the bathroom had the same drainage problem like in the previous room leading to flooding after a shower. Despite complaining, the grim looking manager was not one bit apologetic and when I asked for compensation, they flatly refused saying we should be happy with the room upgrade which was an eyewash! The entire experience in this place was bad barring the breakfast. Total waste of money.

The hotel was lovely but the food was poor. I ordered a chicken burger in the picture it was a breaded chicken burger. What came out was completely different. It was chopped chicken mixed with some lemon grass and mint. It was overpowering, and not very good. The chips are frozen, which is fine, but these had a chemical taste to them. It's almost like a bleach taste. Having said that, this hotel is not the only place to use these. I've had them before in vte. The staff are friendly, helpful, and very well presented, the hotel is clean.the view is stunning. Unfortunately for me the food did not match the standard of the hotel over all. I will try again because maybe it was just that one dish that didn't suit my taste.

The resort was very nice. Room very clean, Setting on the Mekong was our favorite. Prices in the restaurant were very affordable for nice food. Mr Khamvanh and Mrs Kamlan were very kind in helping me book my train ticket. Getting train tickets in Laos is a hasttle so having someone help you is recommended. Mr Kamvanh went out of his way to assist us with dozens of questions and helped us feel very welcome. Outstanding employee. He works the front desk.

++ Lovely rooms (Great concrete, if you like modern architecture !), nice views, wonderful pool ! - Very noisy, unfortunately : large groups of people at breakfast (7am), on the terrace, ie under our windows ... and again at dinner and until late. Service is not very reliable Food ok-ish Would not return to this hotel in VV.

Inthira is located by riverside, creating a perfect atmosphere to watch the mountains and anytime (and balloons rides as well). But the hotel itself is a gem in Vang Vieng. Spaceous and confortable rooms (I still miss their pillows and that amazing view front the bed), a majestic restaurant and a helpful and kind staff that helps their guests in no time - and extra points for their manager, Mr. Kongxay, always busy but kind enough to have a few words with his guests. Wonderful place and a memorable stay. Highly recommended!

I stayed here only 1 night in suite room 601 for my honeymoon trip. The room on the top floor, large room with jacuzzi. Big balcony with stunning river and mountain view. The room very clean and tidy. I had dinner at the restaurant on the 1st floor, the restaurant closed to swimming pool and off course the river view from the restaurant. The foods which I ordered are tasty, and reasonable price. A lots of customers when I've been there, but all staff can handle with professional way. Breakfast quite varieties, coffee is good quality. You will never disappointed if you stay here, and me and my wife definitely come back when we have plan to coming back to Vang Vieng.
