Detailed Reviews
Maybe we had too high expectations of the Inthira hotel, but we were a bit disappointed. It is a modern, industrial styled hotel at the river. Very good location. Views from the room were great, staff is very friendly and attentive and cleaning was good. So quite a lot of positive points. But, unfortunately, the breakfast was of a very low quality with a limited choice for non-Asian guests. If you look better, the rooms could do with a refreshment, mainly the bathroom (the roller blind looks dirty and silicon / grouts are brown. Annoying was the sliding door of the bathroom. You cannot see through and it happened that I opened it and my partner was taking something from the safe. I hit his toe which was painful for a couple of days. And last point of criticism is the lightning. I am a big fan of a cozy atmosphere but this was too dark. What is a real shame, and this is not the hotel´s fault, is the road construction opposite of the hotel. Trucks are driving on and off and the pretty rural view is spoilt. (But still beautiful). We had earplugs so it did not bother me, but it can be molesting. So all in all: not bad, not great.

The overall setting and view is worth the stay alone. Easy to find and central to all the local shops, bars and facilities. We were here New Year so full but still very quiet. Definitely a favourite for the Koreans who were aplenty. We were on the ground floor which was handy as only metres to the pool, restaurant and bar area. ( and had a bath.....) We ate a couple of times on site and the food was good, incredibly spicy, be careful 🔥🔥Breakfast was included so hard to criticise. My only complaint was that all the sun bed cushions and general seating were pretty dirty and stained, an easy fix. Staff were keen and plenty of them, very few speak the queens English so unless you plan a quick Laos language session I would get your Google translator set up ready to go. Enjoy.......

The charm of this hotel is the million dollars View of the nam song River and the mountains. You have your private balcony to relax and see the clouds move by slowly through the mountains. Staff was excellent by all counts and one of the best place to enjoy a dinner during sunset with some cocktails.

After Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng was a bit of a let down. I expected more from this town probably why I was disappointed. What added to this was my stay at Inthira. Everything about the hotel seemed so nice when I had booked it online a month ago. The pictures looked great and the reviews were satisfactory too. However, my first impression of the hotel when my friend and I checked in was of a dull, dark, colorless, cold building quite similar to the front desk staff. After a cold welcome, we were directed to find our room with no offer to even cart our luggage. The room was clean, large and spacious and so was the bathroom. However, the cold, gray, dull exterior was synonymous to the room as well and it lacked the light and warmth I would expect a hotel room to have. The drainage in the bathroom led to over flooding after just one shower. There was no housekeeping available late evening which is why they offered to upgrade us to a pricier room. The “upgraded” room was much smaller and so was the bathroom. Apart from it being on a higher floor, I didn’t find any other reason why it was even called a deluxe room. Mili was probably the only staff member who made an effort to make up for all the mess. After shifting to the new room, we were in total darkness for at least an hour as the power was out. To our horror, the hotel didn’t have power back up, no emergency light and the intercom in the room never worked during our entire stay. The next morning, the air conditioner in the room was leaking and there was water dripping all over on the floor, and yet again, the bathroom had the same drainage problem like in the previous room leading to flooding after a shower.
Despite complaining, the grim looking manager was not one bit apologetic and when I asked for compensation, they flatly refused saying we should be happy with the room upgrade which was an eyewash!
The entire experience in this place was bad barring the breakfast. Total waste of money.

Hotel was in a decent location in the downtown area, since it's rated as a 4 star hotel, perhaps in due time after the on going renovations but I would say it is right now.
Rooms are very spacious, and has wonderful views of the river and limestone mountains, great air conditioning and very big bathrooms. Staff are quite friendly when you ask for help.
Due to the on-going renovations the hotel feels incomplete, one downside is the restaurant area is fully open, so flies, mosquitoes and geckos are found throughout the entire floor.
Food choices for breakfast are quite limited and again flies can be found flying around the food. Other food choices from the menu can be quite expensive for lunch and dinner.

+1
On the banks of the Mae Song river this hotel was perfectly suited to us. The manager, Charles, went out of his way to ensure a lovely stay. Nothing was any bother, he even supplied us with an personal modem to improve the WiFi and a pedestal fan for the room. Staff were lovely. The room was a good size and well appointed with a comfy bed and pillows. The balcony was a real treat offering views of the sunset & hot air balloons over the beautiful mountain ranges. We will definitely return.

I stayed for a couple of night with my wife, everything is wonderful in vang Vieng, caves, mountain, natural and kindness people. I am very proud to staying at Inthira Hotel, it is the best hotel in town, design, location, cleanness, when I was in the room I can see very awesome view of mountain. The most impression is staff, they always greeting with lovely voice, especially the manger " Air" good taking care of me. For my next vacation i will be there again

My team and i had a delicious dinner at the table close to the balcony where we could overlook the calm river. The great meal combining with the kind of like romantic vibe was incredibly relaxing. Highly recommend for couples and family, well everyone!

Modern spacious rooms with balconies looking out over the Song River onto a landscape right out of the Song Dynasty! Literally "wonderful" to wake up each morning with this mountain view framed within the balcony glass doors. Likewise pleasurable was the generous attention offered by the General Manager, Charles, and the reliable information and assistance offered by the Senior Receptionist, Mrs. Thongsouk. My only gripe was the lack of at least one bright reading lamp in the rooms for late night paperback readers such as myself.

The hotel was lovely but the food was poor.
I ordered a chicken burger in the picture it was a breaded chicken burger. What came out was completely different. It was chopped chicken mixed with some lemon grass and mint. It was overpowering, and not very good. The chips are frozen, which is fine, but these had a chemical taste to them. It's almost like a bleach taste. Having said that, this hotel is not the only place to use these. I've had them before in vte.
The staff are friendly, helpful, and very well presented, the hotel is clean.the view is stunning. Unfortunately for me the food did not match the standard of the hotel over all. I will try again because maybe it was just that one dish that didn't suit my taste.
