The hotel is located by the toll bridge and a short walk from bars, cafes, ATM and shops, near travel agents for buses and day trips. It isn't in the main part of town though so it is a bit quieter at night, away from the more rowdy bars. The room was clean, a good size and with a balcony overlooking the street and mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was some building work going on I think when I was there (a bit out of season) so I didn't use the pool.

We chose to stay at Eden de Vang Vieng as it was a bit out of the centre (still a very walkable distances to all the restaurants and tour agencies) and we thought it’d be a bit more quiet, plus the price was reasonable and it looked new and nicely decorated in the photos. We stayed in a room overlooking the pool, and it was lovely, big and brand new, very quiet and relaxing. We particularly loved the huge shower and having our own little table and chairs in the balcony. Breakfast was good but basic (we had to ask for our eggs to be cooked on both sides as they were too raw when fried only on one side), and it would be good to have some covers for the food to avoid the flies, but you’re in a tropical country and if you’re squeamish about these kind of things, then Asia is not for you… The staff were very polite and friendly, and we loved the swinging chairs around the pool and the little fish pond. They offered a variety of tours to book at reception, and we booked a whole-day kayak, zipline, tubing, and buggy driving and Blue Lagoon 3 tour with TCK that we were very happy with. The hotel is located just across the bridge that leads to the karst cliffs and all the major sites, and is also ~10 min walk to the old airstrip where most mini-vans drop you off from Vientiane. The highly-rated Restaurant du Crabe d’Or (which admittedly we didn’t like very much) is 3 min walk, as is the amazing Riverside Sala Spa, both located in the grounds of the Riverside Boutique Resort (we definitely recommend booking a massage for two in their outdoor hut). Overall a great value-for-money option for accommodation in Vang Vieng. Air-con: Yes Fridge: Yes Safe deposit box: Yes Hairdryer: Yes Free Wi-Fi: Yes Toiletries: Shampoo and showergel, vanity kit Towels: Full set, body, foot and head Breakfast included: Yes, fruit, some Asian snacks and eggs made to order Walkable distance from city center: 5-10 min Bedside tables & reading lights: 2 tables, one lamp, but we moved the lamp from the desk to the bedside table to have reading light Luggage racks: Only only, but chair and extra table in room Freebies: 2 bottles of purified water daily

We were very impressed with the room, nice and big and had everything we needed. The front desk staff were extremely helpful in providing us with tips of where to go and also helped book things for us. Breakfast was good. Location a short 10 min walk into town, but quiet enough and away from the hustle and bustle. Would stay here again

Living in Vientiane, I come to Vang Vieng often for both work and fun This time round it was a one-nighter, escorting some visiting friends on the first leg of their road trip to Luang Prabang. I went through all the reviews (not so many yet) and I agree with all the good ones (which are the clear majority). From both the reviews and the responses, I think it is quite clear that this place is special. Kape (pronounced "Koppeh"), the Fin mentioned in other reviews, is a great manager who seems to have recruited and trained up a great team. On this particular trip, I had inadvertently booked two rooms rather than one on a non-refundable basis. Kape helped me worked it out with the booking service I had used to get it refunded nevertheless. He didn't have to do that, but he did. This was much appreciated. And it reflects overall quality that this new entry brings to Vang Vieng. Several quality hotels have opened recently in Vang Vieng. The Eden de Vang Vieng has them all beat on value for money. None come close.

Lovely hotel, wonderful manager and staff, great pool, lovely town. Personal recommendation were spot on and exactly what we were hoping for, bed reasonably comfy, very clean. Brekkie not to western tastes but they cooked my daughters eggs and there was bread for toast and if u look for it you will see a jar of cereal muesli at one end. Great little place.

Thank you for your review. It is true that most of days our breakfast is a bit more asian type than western type and that's because of around 70 % of our guests are asian but usually we have something for western taste too. On those days when we have more western guests than asian guests our breakfast buffet is more western too.. Anyway it's really nice to hear that you enjoyed to stay in our hotel and we really hope to see you again!!
