The room is good for the price. No doubt about that. The bathroom is worse than average, but not much. The service was the worst that we have experienced after a month in SE Asia. We came to check out the place and told them we would come back to check in later. When we returned the price had gone... More

When I travel through asia I usually book only one night and then, if the room is ok, I extend my stay. I made good experiences like this and did so at the grand view guesthouse as well. For referring to the other reviews: They dont charge extra for toilet paper and air condition any more, Internet connection is still... More

It's not called grand view for nothing. three of us split a room and had the most amazing view of the mountains, amazing for sun rise and sun set as it just takes up so much of your view from the room. Hot air balloons in the air the the weather was amazing, it's picturesque. Becuase you're in Laos everything... More

We stayed in Vang Vieng one night and choose this place because it is fresh looking and great rates for a one night stay: cheap actually and had a balcony which we did not use on the front of the building. they do have rooms with balcony on the river probably a little more cost. It was clean, some cable... More

I don't know how to describe our stay here, it was a mixture of stress, relief, fear, panic, comfort... The thing is we got a really nice room, one of the best we got as backpackers in Asia (at 110.000 kip per night), well decorated, very clean, illuminated, great beads, etc. And right in the center of Vang Vieng (although... We stayed in a triple room in Grand View Guesthouse. Best part was neat & clean rooms, sitting place outside the guesthouse & the location. Backside rooms have the view of the Nam Xong River. Rooms are spacious & clean with bright color walls.

I first came across this place looking for another hotel which was so badly signed that it made it very hard to find. Grand View Guest House looked nice and approachable, they let us check the room first. We stayed in the bungalows down by the river. Really nice view and had a great sleep. Bed was surprisingly comfortable compared... More

Stayed for 4 nights here, was a bit more cost than other locations but we had a river and mountain view which was lovely to wake up to. Rooms were clean and spacious. Also close to the river and not far from the bars.

This was the first place we looked at and after a long journey decided to stay. We got a double room at the front of the guest house near reception for 70,000 kip per night, roughly £5. We ended up staying 5 nights. There are cheaper options in the area but once the backpack was opened we chose the lazy... More

Shared a room with two other people all in our early 20's. Very comfortable and very decent price. Great view of the mountains and river from our room door and close to all the action. Though the room rates are cheap, it is easy to find better transportation rates elsewhere. Also, another perk are the amazing sandwich ladies across the... More
