I stayed at Khamphone Guesthouse as part of an Intrepid trip and it was adequate. We stayed in the new building, the rooms were clean and the bathroom was good. The shower was away from the toilet. The biggest downside to staying here is the indifferent service from the family who run it and the shiney tiles that are incredibly... More

I arrived in VV without a place booked. Looked at a few places and ended up checking out Khamphone. As a solo traveller, I'm used to bargaining for rooms... without going over the top. I settled on around $8 US per night. After a few mins haggling I eventually struck a deal. However, this conversation seemed to have been noted... More

Simple rooms, clean beds and common areas but not practical bathrooms (shower over the toilet). The free WiFi worked occasionally. Free tea & (instant) coffee. Guesthouse is close to cafes for breakfast, river, hire places for day outings and massage/beauty places.

Bathrooms dirty, don't make up your room unless you hang a card on the door ( and it doesn't say this anywhere), unhelpful, if you leave your room key it's in reception which is often not occupied. Didn't feel that they cared about anything but getting the money for the room. Would definitely not recommend it to anyone

A room, a bed, a bathroom that worked with a little help. WiFi that worked. Aircon that did not. Not very interesting. No breakfast but plenty of places nearby. No noise in the night. One of those rooms that you forget on the way out the door. Not bad, but ...

This guesthouse is located close to everything you could need and is quite comfortable to boot. The beds are soft, the staff are helpful and the wifi actually stays connected. The showers in the ensuite rooms are a little small but it does the job.

I booked here for 3 nights during my trip to Laos. The budget was fine for short holidays but for long term travelers it might be a bit pricey. The room was basic but clean and to be honest in Vang Vieng you spend most days out exploring. The hotel was located at the end of one of the busy... More

We stayed for three nights in this guesthouse and it is a basic backpacker guesthouse with all pros and cons. Rooms were OK, beds were a little bit hard, bathrooms small and dirty. There is a wifi (as everywhere in Laos), but it wasn't warking in the most of the time. The guesthouse is located in the south end of... More

the wifi works well in the lobby area, and not so great in the rooms. we think that they somehow turn the wifi off at night because it didn't seem to work any nights past like 10/11. the rooms didn't have very many plug ins and the bathroom wasn't ideal. the shower had hot water. the guy working at the... I think they actually put us in the hotel. But the room was clean, big and very nice for the price. The wifi is pretty bad: we couldn't use it from the room, and even in the common area the speed was very bad. The staff is not always helpful.
