The setting of Koiimasis ranch is really spectacular and we would have been quite happy there, were it not for the unbelievably rude German female owner. On arrival, after a 10 hour drive, I unfortunately took a wrong turn and drove around the back of the farmhouse, missing the sign at reception. After circling the house, I came around again... More

I feel we would have been more welcome at Koiimasis if we had arrived in lederhosen and clicked our heels .We arrived a happy group of 9 - my children ,my grandchildren and myself .I was brought up in the south of Namibia where my grandfather farmed and then my my father and this was a trip to show them... This camping site is located very far from the main road, for the 18 km we took about 45-60 minutes. We were welcomed by the German female owner. She was pretty unfriendly and not very helpful. She showed us the way to the campsite, which was very nice next to some large rocks. There was only one other visitor so... More

Vistas of desert dunes and granite outcrops abound in this far southwestern corner of Namibia. Farm Koiimasis is a a cattle ranch with a small lodge and campsites nestled amongst huge red granite boulders. The farm-yard is a welcome green oasis. Solar power and other off-grid solutions provide the means for highly intensive farming in this very remote location. The... More

My husband and I spent a night at one of the campsites 5 years ago and it was fantastic - the views and setting are unbelievably beautiful. We went back with my parents this July and spent 2 nights at the Lodge this time. Important to note that the lodge on the one side and the campsite and camp virosa... More

Stunning scenery stunning camping experience , fantastic ablutions. Great watching Cowboys in action. Our sons did an out ride which was very informative. Loved the wildlife around our campsite , Dassies, Meer Cats and huge variety of birds. Peace and quiet away from the busy city .

As dawnsJ9709CE mentioned, the owner was rude and unfriendly. We received a lecture because we did not book in advance, but the setting of the camp site is awesome. We shared a camp site, but were charged per person. No electricity, we did not get proper directions to the bigger ablution site, the braai was not cleaned, but as we... More

Ranch Koiimasis is beyond awesome. Well maintained and absolutely beautiful. I cannot say the same about the owner. From the moment she received us, she was not friendly at all. The next day she absolutely rudely, verbally attacked my friend in front of all of us (group of 11), in such a way that we all turned around and just... More

We visited Koiimasis, totally by accident. We were booked elsewhere, but there was a mixup with that booking, so we were re-routed to Koiimasis. What a great fluke! The rooms are like little Hobbit houses, nestled into large boulders. The view is spectacular, as is the sleep. The food was excellent and our host most gracious, even though it's more... More

Ranch Koiimasis is 22kms off the D707 where you need to open and close several gates. along the way. The campsite itself has 5 pitches in the most awesome setting. Each site had a windbreak, table and benches and a braai. No electricity here. Exceptionally good ablutions which we shared with one other pitch. Lots of dassies and klipspringers. Wifi... More
