We stayed at this hotel for a weekend away. I was skeptical of the place after listening to many negative reviews. I found the place affordable and the room was clean. The management seem to be trying to improve standards but not quite hitting the mark. Breakfast is unappealing apart from the Masala tea. The food was just tasteless. The... More

Arranged for a team to stay here in June for a work thing, they all checked out after the first night; old rooms, some without hot water in the biting Nanyuki chill, very slow service, poor internet connectivity, unappetizing meals, and the bar only cares to serve white folks. In a nutshell - great disappointment!!

I stayed at Sportie for 5 days in April while in Nanyuki for work. It was a blind selection as the other hotel we had wanted was fully booked during that period. It's a decent facility with expansive grounds that also seem popular with weddings. Please insist to get the rooms with wooden floor & ceiling cos the place gets... More

Was there for a 2 day workshop and really enjoyed the stay, especially in the new building, it is well organized. You should upgrade all the buildings though....my colleagues who came earlier were given the old buildings and they had a bad experience. Otherwise Keep it up

Stuck in Nanyuki for the night and we required gated parking. We chose the Sportsman based on colleague's experiences in the past. We didn't have very good internet so we called and were quoted 6750 KSH for a double. When we got there we realized it was 9100 KSH. The front staff seemed barely awake checking us in. The room... Was there for a meeting and after all the hype I have heard over the years, was really looking forward to it, but i was greatly disappointed. The meeting rooms have no windows - well they have but they are way up that only a giraffe could open it, and believe me a room with over 20 people definitely needs... More

My family and our friends booked the hotel cottages for two nights check in on 30th April and check out on 2nd May 2016.The booking went on smoothly and James was very helpful on this sector. Our nightmare started on the first night,at around 4am there was a lot of noise from people banging the doors and windows and hurling... More

This was a last minute choice on our way to Samburu and overall the experience was average for a hotel with such a potential for being a great hotel. The rooms seemed to have a recent innovation which made it very comfortable for a family stay. Downside was the lethargic attitude by staff during breakfast. Hotel has great surroundings and... This is one of my worst hotel experience. There were four of us, and we booked the place last minute instead of driving to Nairobi at night. When we got in, there was the loudest music ever... We asked when it dies down, we were told it should at about midnight... We were pretty tired as we had drove from... More

I came to the sportsman arms rather abruptly as I was attending a friends wedding in Nanyuki and needed a place to sleep within short notice. On arrival, the staff was very friendly and accommodating to the relatively late check in. The night guards also offered to clean my car in the morning :-) I was pleasantly surprised by the... More
