Excellent stop at lake elmenteita Serena camp, beautiful place to stay !! Wonderful view very peaceful! The reserve is great to see with flamingoes, giraffes and buffaloes!! Very calm despite the proximity of a big road! Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Just right from check in to check out. The place is beautiful with beautiful people ready to assist you at all times. Special mention was Dennis who was very helpful, as we had a sick person among us and he went out of way to help. Room tents are fabulous. They look like a tent from outside but inside it is a total different story. Large room, very spacious, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and the back porch has nice sitting setup with lake views. The food was excellent. Hospitality 5 star Rooms 5 star Food 5 star Hotel lounge and sitting area 5 star Surrounding views 3 star ( nothing much to see except for part views of the lake but a quite place to relax ) Game drive thrill 2 star ( but we never expected anything much anyways ) The lodge has lots of activities to offer e.g. horse riding, archery, cycling etc. We didn't take any as our primary objective was to chill and relax and that's what we did. Just my two bits. The lodge should keep some bird feeders to attract small birds which are plenty around the lodge but not very visible of friendly. A definite place to visit …
So the tents are good. The turn down service great to help with all the curtains. Flamingos are amazing to see. The trip is just after the rally and the animals got a bit far away which is not the fault of the hotel. Only note is on bugs which are truely horrendous for dinner time. They are literally in glasses on plates and everywhere. I think if they can put down screens before dusk and keep it that way for the entire food to table process it will make the experience so much better!
Amazing stay at the camp. Very ideal for family stay. Enjoyed the non cumbersome entry to the WRC safari rally park inside Soysambu Ranch. The staff is kind, knowledgeable and offered us the best experience. I recommend this camp to both family, couples and singles
Cozy and pleasant stay. An excellent ambient environment, well maintained with elegant service and hygienic stay. Relaxed and comfortable stay with all facilities. Good hospitable staff, especially, Mercy. Chef Kennedy was on top of the GAME!!
This was my second visit here, my first being back in 2019. The good The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a view of Lake Elementaita ( of note all the rooms have a view of the lake) The not so good The extra blankets found within the storage trunks within the rooms were old and dusty, clearly not laundered as regularly as the bedding on the bed. The food was bland, nothing spectacular and the menu though al a carte was quite monotonous. This was markedly different from my experience back in 2019 and quite a letdown. The attention to detail by the waiters and waitresses was lacking. Additional off menu requests were often not brought to the table despite repeat requests. Special mention: Denge ( part of the concierge staff) was great! Professional and on hand for most of our requests and activities The bar cocktails were very well done.…
Excellent place, Beautiful gardens, Professional hard working staff, delicious meals. The service is wonderful and the staff are always welcoming and available to help. Housekeeping is excellent, very clean rooms. Hot water bottle is brought to the bed every evening. I love the place and want to visit again and again!
Like the first two Serena properties that we visited on this trip, this one was superb. Staff was fantastic, the cabin was clean, beautiful and filled with magnificent scenery. The food was great - you get tired of constant buffets and this was on the order of a multiple choice prix fixe menu. Animals dined next to us, which was perfect. If there were bonus stars this place would certainly get them.
This turned out to be the perfect family getaway. We enjoyed incredible service throughout from the moment we arrived to when we were leaving. The rooms were lovely and very clean with wonderful views. Additionally, they had a broad range of amenities and activities. Special mention to Chef Kennedy, Stanley and Reuben (Restaurant Team) alongside Joshua (Reception) who provided excellent service and just went out of their way to make us feel comfortable at all times. Overall, we had an amazing stay in which we got to relax, unwind and enjoy ourselves in the camp! - I highly recommend this destination for pretty much anyone looking to have a nice break in a wonderful place.
The place is amazing, great views, great food in a quiet secluded area. The staff are warm and engaging especially Chef Kennedy who takes the time to find out their guests requirements. The rooms are spacious and have an charming colonial aesthetic. There's an interesting mix of activities, I'd highly recommend the horse ride. They have great guides that take you to see the wildlife up close on horse back. It's a short 2 hour ride from Nairobi and the perfect place to getaway when city life gets cumbersome.
