We chose this hotel because of the great reviews and the proximity to Zion. The rooms are SPACIOUS, with GORGEOUS views from the huge windows, beds are comfy, bathroom had a tub and seperate shower, and there was a fridge, Keurig, and nice towels. Pool area was nice with umbrellas for shade. Then, we could ride our bikes right from the hotel to Zion National Park which was GREAT because we could avoid the line of cars waiting to get in. This was magic! It's also close to all kinds of restaurants. The ONLY negative was the sheets on the bed were rather rough. A place of this calibre deserves soft sheets :). I would definitely stay here again!!!
We stayed here for four nights. PROS: large room, spectacular porch with view, fine swimming pool not crowded, breakfast voucher to Oscars, overall very quiet, front desk staff were very helpful. CONS: the chest of drawers was crummy and ancient as the drawers would not open/shut easily, the outside wood railing gave me a splinter that is still in my hand, some pool furniture has seen better days. I would definitely stay here again.
A wonderful and relaxing environment. We had a room with a patio overlooking the canyons. There was green grass all around with deer grazing. The room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was spacious with a tub and shower stall. Very peaceful and quiet. There's a restaurant in the same premise called King's Landing Bistro with excellent food and service. Location was great with the Springdale shuttle stop at the lodge.
Good location for trip to Zion NP. Shuttle stop right at the parking lot. Room was large & quite roomy with a lovely view of the mountains looking toward the park. Each building only had 4 rooms so it was very quiet for our stay. Lodge offers a breakfast voucher for a local restaurant- Oscars- which was very good and quite convenient. Room was clean and well stocked. Staff very friendly and helpful. Here’s a tip: if you stay in Springdale you park at your hotel free and ride shuttle to Zion park. If staying elsewhere you will pay to park (if you can find a spot) Seems most places restrict parking to customers via dashboard permits and enforce towing.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms are newer (higher numbered rooms) and some rooms were original (lower numbered rooms). Room 103 had two air conditioning units that were a little hard to maintain the air temp, especially in the bathroom (think - cold air when exiting the shower). Room 603 had central A/C and heat and was easily temperature controlled. Rooms on the ground floor have better views versus upstairs where there's a balcony and you're looking through the balcony slats. Walls were pretty thin - we could hear our upstairs neighbors walking around, but not too big of a deal. Housekeeping was great, parking was plentiful. The hot tub and pool were relaxing. Good location in the center of Springdale and the shuttle system works well. Overall a great stay in Springdale.…
This is a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Zion National Park. It is just on the outskirts of Springdale but this is actually an advantage. You have to ride a shuttle to access the park and parking at the park entrance is very limited. Springdale also has a shuttle bus which drops you at the park entrance. One of the first stops for the Springdale shuttle is right next to the hotel. The Springdale shuttle often gets full at the later stops but we never had a problem getting on shuttle outside this hotel . It also means it is very quiet at night. The views of the valley from the hotel are amazing. There are chairs on the property right by the Virgin river to relax plus a nice pool and hot tub. We had a king room with view. It had a large balcony with chairs There was also a seating area inside with a couple of comfy chairs. Bed was comfortable . The bathroom was large and had a separate tub and shower. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not provided but they have a great deal with Oscar Cafe. You buy an $8 voucher and get a entree plus coffee. Oscars is about a quarter mile down the road from the hotel. Another plus is the great restaurant Kings Landing which is adjacent to the hotel. Zion park can get crowded but this hotel provides a great oasis of peace and tranquility …
Hands down the most uncomfortable bed I’ve slept in. It had zero cushion and could feel the springs. I woke up sore every single day. This is essentially an old motel with some new paint and a couple new light fixtures. Service wasn’t great. Housekeeping did not provide new towels and check out staff didn’t ask how our stay was. Hot tub was okay, but no towels out by the pool. I would not recommend wasting your money here. It was uncomfortable and so not worth it.
Enjoyed our stay. Great bed, everything clean and comfortable. The view from our deck was fantastic. Our location near the main building was Front desk staff were pleasant. The adjoining restaurant was excellent. Location to Zion was excellent. Really appreciated the discount deal the hotel has with Oscar's. Excellent restaurant that we thoroughly enjoyed, both dinner and lunch. The room layout was odd. We could not figure out the rationale on putting the bathroom far away from the sink. Nor could we figure out the adjoining small room with a tv. Still pondering this. Did not really detract from our stay but still ...
We stayed at Driftwood lodge while visiting Zion National Park. Our room was spacious and well laid out. It had everything we needed. We especially loved the view from the big window, cute patio, access to the river, grill and picnic area. The staff was very helpful and it proved to be a great location. Highly recommend staying here and will book again if I come back to the area.
We stayed here in October of 2021. It was our last stop in our Mighty Five trip. The front office staff were very helpful. When we opened the door to our second story room the musty smell of gym socks immediately hit our noses. We opened the windows, turned on the air conditioner, and sat outside. The other couple in our trip had a similar situation with their room next door. This hotel is located about 1.5 miles north of the Zion park entrance. The restaurant located next door, Kings Landing, is very good. But this hotel does not offer a breakfast option other than a $8 voucher you can purchase to use uptown.
