Earlier this month, I stayed at Under the Eaves Inn for the first time. Zion is one of my favorite places in the world - I've visited 4 or 5 times now - and moving forward, I'll always stay at Under the Eaves while visiting the park.

The owners, Mark and Joe, are wonderful people who go to great lengths to make sure their guests are well taken care of. My room was beautifully decorated and clean as can be with great working air conditioning and a very comfortable bed. The property's backyard is gorgeous with colorful flowers everywhere, a patio table and chairs where you can relax and dine on takeout after a long day of hiking, and a comfy hammock from which you can star gaze.

The Inn's location couldn't be better. It's right in the center of Springdale, the cute, pedestrian-friendly town just outside the Zion park gate. There are terrific restaurants just a block or two away (including Oscar's which has a great breakfast arrangement for Under the Eaves guests). In just a few minutes, you can be inside the Zion park gate exploring all of the amazing sights.

If you're concerned about social distancing due to the pandemic, this is a great place to stay as there are only 7 rooms on the property, and many of them are in separate buildings so you can easily keep your distance from others during your stay if that's important to you.

I can't recommend this place enough. Definitely check it out!

This BnB is really special! Not only is the location wonderful, this place had so much charm and was way better than staying in a nearby hotel. Some rooms may be pretty small, but a SUPER comfortable bed and a nice shower is all we needed after long days in the park. We were very comfortable here and loved lounging in the yard. There were some beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from any direction and some really nice design details throughout the place.
We received the most generous hospitality from the host!!! He was always available to answer questions and offer advice regarding anything Zion-related, even before we had arrived! Our trip was last minute so we hadn’t done too much preparation and it would not have been the same without him to give us the ins and outs, and provide us with suggested routes and hikes, complete with printed out maps they had made themselves. He also had wonderful food recommendations and the breakfast included at the nearby diner was delicious and hearty- a perfect start to a long day of hiking in the heat.

My first visit to Springdale, UT. Was there to meet up with far-flung family, and Under the Eaves was the chosen accommodation. At least 12 of us came and went within a 10 day span. (I was there the whole time)The owners/hosts, Mark & Joe, greeted each of us as if we were family. Their graciousness and hospitality facilitated a wonderful family gathering. There was enough room for everyone, literally and metaphorically.
I was in the garden cabin (#7), which was the perfect space for me. Ideal for 1 to 2 people who want privacy. There is a ductless heater in the bedroom and a portable, plug in heater in the bathroom, which I recommend using at night! At least in the winter. I had my own Keurig coffee maker with a choice of organic coffee/a variety of teas, along with sweeteners and creamers, so I could have my morning cuppa BEFORE I had to interact with anyone else. I loved my space. Very cozy with comfy king-sized bed with dreamy pillows and linens. Hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and soaps provided. I had two outdoor seating areas in my immediate vicinity to choose from, my favorite being the swing seat. But there was a hammock and at least two other seating areas available outside, so there was always a spot in the sun. The posted pictures of the other spaces are accurate, and everything has a very homey vibe. There is a definite sense of Rustic Luxury to the place, but it’s not so pristine that you feel uncomfortable hanging out there. Coasters are provided and you should feel compelled to use them. Various books and games are available. No TVs anywhere, but I didn’t miss it. The WiFi was reliable enough for me to stream content on my cell phone when I got desperate.
There is a convenience store/gas station like 50 feet from the property, as well as restaurants/bars and a liquor store within reasonable walking distance. A bus stop was also very nearby. Zion National Park and all of its trails are highly accessible from here.
I will be staying here again!

Zion is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and Under The Eaves fits into its environment perfectly. I had the most lovely little cabin to come back to at the end of the day. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we had our breakfasts and dinners in the beautiful back yard. I have to say, I was a little concerned staying somewhere away from home during this time of Covid , but I felt totally safe inside my little cabin that was fresh and spotlessly clean, and also had gorgeous views out the windows.

My husband and I stayed in the under the eaves suite for a week in late sept/early October. The splurge for the suite was well worth it. Very roomy, cool architecture and decor. Kitchenette with mini fridge/freezer, views of the garden and western wall. Bathroom just has a tub but we managed fine. Bed was very comfy and room had both ac and ceiling fans. We stayed in room 5 the first night. It’s tiny but very clean and updated. The grounds are lovely...we bought dinner at the store across the street and ate in garden a couple times. Breakfast at oscars each morning was delicious. Mark and joe were so accommodating and helpful with recommendations for hikes and restaurants both in the park and surrounding areas. We’d definitely stay here again!

This is a wonderful place to stay! It is located 1 mile from the entrance to Zion National Park and just steps from shuttle stop 5. We stayed in #7, which is a stand alone building in the back yard. It has a king bed and a walk in shower. The owners were really nice and very accommodating to our needs. The breakfast vouchers are worth the $5 price tag. They are for Oscars restaurant and the food is wonderful. The voucher is good for any meal so you are basically paying $5 for a $12-$15 meal. If you want a quiet, charming place to stay, choose Under the Eves.

My family of 4 j(two teenagers) just completed a wonderful stay in the Eaves Suite (room 3) . The room is perfect for a family travelling to the Zion National Park area. The Inn is centrally located across the street from a grocery store and easy walking distance to all Springdale has to offer including the shuttle bus to the park. The backyard garden is a nice oasis to relax in after a day of sightseeing . The historic main house where our room was located is a jewel and is listed on the National Register. In addition to the room being very spacious it had everything we needed during our stay. There is kitchenette with a microwave a small fridge and sink. There are several comfortable chairs and a kitchen table. As you can see in the website pictures the room has many windows. We enjoyed sleeping with them open at night . The breezes were amazing. The beds and bedding are all very nice. So glad we stayed here instead of the basic hotel experience. Pricing was about the same and you get so much more for your money here. Finally we enjoyed interacting with the nice owners Mark and Joe. Their love for this inn and the town are very evident. We have stayed in similar places all over North America and Europe and this place is on par with the best. We highly recommend the Inn and this room in particular!!

My husband and I stayed at Under the Eaves and were absolutely delighted by the accommodations -- clean, comfortable, fun and very relaxing. The hosts/owners Mark and Joe were excellent and extremely helpful, providing us with excellent recommendations on where to eat, what to do, how to navigate the park, etc. We can't wait to come back!

Spent the long President's Day weekend with 3 girlfriends in Zion, and we knew we were in for a perfect trip the minute we stepped foot into our suite at Under the Eaves. The details on the property and in the room are absolutely impeccable. For 4 people, everyone slept comfortably in extremely cozy beds and the open floorplan was perfect for hanging together while still being able to retire to our sleeping quarters at the end of the night. All we could talk about is how we wanted to come back and stay again. Thanks Mark and Joe for a great stay!

Loved this place. The rooms are small for 2 people. My room was absolutely lovely. Great location! The inn is across the street a supermarket and about 30 min walk to the entrance of Zion. Shuttle stops in front of the place which is helpful. Another great benefit was a discount for brunch at Oscars, the best breakfast restaurant in town. Loads of restaurants within 10 mins walking distance. HIGHLY recommended

We stayed in the smaller house and our two rooms had A/C. I did not look at the rooms in the main house, but would assume they also have A/C.

No, but there is a dog boarding place in town that the owners recommend (The Doggy Dude Ranch).

Hi there...like the former respondent we didn't stay in that room, but the owners are SO fantastic and would answer your query promptly and honestly. Our room on the main floor of the main house was small, but immatuclate so I feel comfortable that you will probably be fine with what you have chosen. Good luck in your new marriage and on your holiday....Zion is absolutely gorgeous....a peaceful sanctuary...
